My first plants - thoughts

Hello,

These clones are ONE WEEK OLD. I've only had them 6 days. I am just wanting to make sure I am not missing anything. I think the red stems are just transplant stress? Otherwise, the Blue Dream looks so very chalky light green. I've put a lot of nitrogen on them already (25-0-0 as well as 15-10-5 with minors) - I don't want to stress it by even more.

The real short one (image 0580) is Sour Tangie. The real green one in the back is Cookies. The light chaulky green one is (image 0577) Blue Dream. The bushy green one front right is ( image 0578 ) Blackberry Fire.

Are these ok?

When you fed did you check Ppms or just dump some in cause it looks like you gave to much nitrogen to such a small plant that small of a plant needs a quarter dose if that and what nuets are you using need a lot more info stop feeding until you know more

"what are u in coco ? lights ? size tent what line of nutes"

In my tagline, I have all my info of my grow / environment, so you can always see.

As for Nutrients, the shipper out of Florida totally messed up my order and never shipped me my line of nutrients. So, I had the clones but the nutrients were not there. So, my brother gave me all the nutrients and told me what to do. He didn't say "DUMP" and I didn't "Dump some in". I sprinkled less than 1/2 teaspoon around the canopy - maybe 10 crystals.

As for what I did - I checked PPM (90 before anything/plain water, and then 420 or less after adding everything in - so nothing was more than 420 PPM) ---- PH was always between 6.2 and 6.4 -- and one was a plain watering. What we put in was Sugaree (0-0-2), Kelp (3 drops), Fox Farm (less than a cap full) and Catalyst Earth Juice (cap full) ----

My full line of Nutrients (AN) appeared yesterday and I gave it the 1 week schedule per Advanced Nutrients @ 60% recommended dosage which was Connoisseur Grow A and Connoisseur Grow B (5ML) and B52 (2.5ML) in a gallon jug (but I only use 1/4 of the jug when watering) - and they look much better this morning.

When I did it, the PH was 6.65 (IS THIS OK?) and the PPM was 250 (seemed low actually) - this is a brand new calibrated good meter.

AN wrote back to me and they said that so long as it's between 4.0 and 8.0 PH, that they are fine. He wrote:

"The pH Perfect base nutrients has chelates, surfactants, amino acids as well as buffers which allow the plants to absorb nutrients between 4.0 and 8.0 pH without the need of any adjustments."

Don't believe the sales rep... AN sheet is only like that at 100% dose's which is too much anyway.

What tagline? I don't see sheet but a list of nutes and urea nitrogen pix...

If you are in Coco your pH is too high, soil it's kinda in the zone, Needs microbiology to work.

Red stem is a def for sure not transplant shock..

Can't be exact cause I don't know the medium.

Good luck growing at 4.0 or 8.0 pH. I could care less what AN says. That kind of advice is one reason they'll never get a dime of my money. The nutrients I use are just as good and cost a fraction of what AN does. Don't fall for that marketing crap the nutrient companies use to take peoples money.

wasn’t trying to be rude just sounded like another lost little lamb at first but sounds like generally you know a bit as for your ph different nuets are bioavailable at different ph s I’ll look for the chart but I’m pretty sure nothing is above 7 or below 5 so the an rep is full of it

I’d look into megacrop, lots of ppl here use it. Iove it and it’s inexpensive and last a long ass time. Everything you need start to finish. I ran it in my rdwc room last run I can say I was impressed.

First, I'm wondering why you said that since I told you already it's at 6.6. (I am not in the 4's, 5's, 7's or 8')

Second, how you spend your money doesn't really concern me at all, and is a non factor for me.

Third, As for my cost, the store messed up my order and shipped me $250 of free stuff - they sent me every AN product because I posted a bad review on Amazon and I couldn't get the guy off my back. He kept emailing me to send me stuff and more and more, until I finally gave in to remove the review on Amazon. In return, he sent me EVERY SINGLE AN thing (Sensi Grow, Bloom, Connoisseur Grow, Bloom, and every nutrient on Hobby, Professional, Expert and Master level) - meaning he gave me EVERY SINGLE THING for FREE --- so I guess I got everything for FREE. It was not Advanced Nutrients directly, this was a Hydro Store which did this. So, I haven't fallen for anything - I'm sitting here with 19 bottles of absolutely free stuff - I didn't even pay for shipping.

Finally, I can take my water (7.2ph) and I can put 1 cap of Catalyst Earth Juice and it goes to 6.3 or 6.4ph. Then, I can add any of the AN stuff and the PH just goes to 6.6 and PPM never went over 420. I called and told the support rep I was doing that - and he told me I didn't have to do it and it was in the range of 4-8ph. So, I was just asking about with the Earth Juice, I can easily go to 6.3 and 6.4

PS: It was not the "Sales Rep" - this was AN Support Line (Called and Email - his name was Andy)

What he’s saying there’s reason they give the stuff away lol. Free or not I wouldn’t use it. Ph’ing water isn’t difficult and usually stays stable longer. I’ve went through just about nutrient line out there and just went from veg+bloom to a much better nutrient which was megacrop. No more useless bottles of fancy water. There’s several post here where folks have boiled them to separate the nutrients from the water. Most of them are 80% or more simple water.

He didn't give me the AN because he wanted to - so your reply doesn't even make sense.

I originally order Sensi Grow/Bloom, Bud Candy and Flawless Finish. They never shipped it and never contacted me. It's that SIMPLE. What you want to read into it and make ass - umptions over it, makes me just shake my head at your response. If I purchased Fox Farm, he would have sent me free Fox Farm. If I bought sugaree, he would have shipped me free sugaree. The only reason he sent me this for free because that was my original order (which is refunded fully and then gave me what I ordered for free, it wasn't enough and he kept uping the ante until I removed the review) --- so again, I have to chuckle at your response as it completely was wrong. In fact, he's just a hydro-store, he has ALL the product lines, so whatever he sent me he loses money!

And then you said "ph-ing isn't difficult" --- YA, no shit, from my response, you'd see that I WAS ph'ing the water - as I gave you all the numbers. (Again, shaking my head)

I know growers who have grown for 20+ years that use/swear by Flawless Finish, Bud Candy and AN products.

I can easily take my water + one cap of Catalyst Earth Juice, and PH it. It's ALWAYS coming in at 6.3/6.4PH. Then, I add my AN products. Seems simple enough - and costs me nothing except the Catalyst Earth Juice I bought from Home Depot.

So - to be honest, I'm sitting here with 20 bottles of stuff and I paid for 1 of them which I bought at Home Depot. I have a few other nuts my brother gave me for free. So, my costs to grow is pretty damn cheap.

It seems the only issue I'm having is the one I planted in Roots Organic Soil -- the Happy Frog and Fox Farm soils seem good.

I really don't care about AN marketing or their costs - again, I paid nothing for all their stuff - all completely free. I was originally going to use a few AN stuff, and now I have their ENTIRE product line for ABSOLUTELY FREE. So, I'm trying it in 4 buckets of my plants and we will see what happens.

The deal was this:

1. I order Sensi A/B + Bud Candy + Flawless Finish

2. It never shows up (my order)

3. My clones arrive and my brother gives me Fox Farm, Soils, and three bags of nutrients - he has a degree in hydro from Rutgers University and sells fertilizer to sports arenas. I also bought Catalyst Earth Juice and a professional top of the line PH/ppM meter from my brother who has grown for 15+ years)

4. Clones are 5 days old and I call the guy - where is my shit. Guy says "Oops, I dropped the ball - I never shipped it". I said forget it man, give me a refund. He did.

5. I go to Amazon and write my review he dropped the ball

6. He keeps emailing me and contacting me asking me to drop the review. I have my brother's Nutrients and he says don't worry, just use my stuff and I'll give you some Bud Candy and Flawless Finish from his stash.

7. I told the guy NO, I'm good, I dont want anything and he says he'll send me my original order FOR FREE if I remove the review.

8. I said NO, I'm good - it's the proper review of the transaction that happened.

9. He then writes me again and says he wants to give me AN (what i ordered), plus the entire Hobby, Expert, Master and Professional if I remove the review.

10. I remove the review - a box appears 2 days later even with Connoisseur in it. (1 L bottles of the Grow/Bloom and 250ML bottles of everything AN sells)

So - here I am sitting here with I'm guessing $250+ of shit I didn't pay a dime for. So, if the reason I shouldn't use it - is that it's expensive, or their marketing, then that's just b.s. to me - and means nothing - I DIDN'T PAY A DIME FOR IT ALL.

I then called the AN support line and I talked to AN support person directly. He gave me all the instructions on using it - and answered all my questions professionally and nicely. Long conversation with him, and he's growing - and he knows all about PH and we talked about water levels, ppm, ph, and many other things.

My brother taught me how to use the Catalyst to lower the PH first to 6.3/6.4 which happens to be a cap and then add the AN stuff. He said, if it goes lower than 6.3, then for me to add my well water (which works) .... and if it goes higher again of 6.4, for me to add Fox Farm Bloom which will lower it as well.

My brother said what can you lose - just try it. If something goes wrong, he'll fix it with his nutrients stuff or we can figure it out what it's missing. He mentioned Fish this and Kelp that and whatever, he has all the stuff.

I was implying that he gave it most likely due to the fact I wasn’t moving as fast as other products. There are a lot of guys old school stoners that swear by a lot of things. It doesn’t mean it’s right or good.
I then only gave you advice on something much better for future refence something that was cheap for 50 lbs of the stuff. Something a lot of guys run and you don’t end up with 20 bottles of shit rolling around at some point later. Also what I meant for the ph’ing was using simple ph up and down stating it’s generally mush more stable in the long run.
I understand you got the stuff for free as I said I wouldn’t use it even if it was given for free unless your broke as hell.
Sorry you misunderstood.

Well, the reason he didn't ship it was because he said he was out of it - and was waiting on a new shipment from Canada. So ....

And I don't need PH UP, I just add WELL WATER to my water or my mix if it goes too low. That's FREE.

And I don't need PH DOWN, I just add Catalyst Earth Juice.

And I don't have bottles rolling around. They are all in a milk crate. BTW - my 20 bottles weigh 9lbs, much less than 50lbs of whatever. LOL

I do see a lot of old school stoners here or think they are the ONLY people growing weed, or the only one's who know how to grow weed, or they are the best weed growers on the forum. I'm not any of those. I'm just trying free shit and seeing what happens now - and having fun while doing it.

I was merely stating that this quote you posted is nonsense. If you got a bunch of free stuff then good for you. If you follow their nonsense and try to grow at 4.0 or 8.0 pH your plants will have nothing but problems even using AN's pH Perfect.

"The pH Perfect base nutrients has chelates, surfactants, amino acids as well as buffers which allow the plants to absorb nutrients between 4.0 and 8.0 pH without the need of any adjustments."
