My first PC grow box.

My PC grow kit.

Notice the power light and disk light and fan controller. ( pic 1)

The disk light is a green xmas light gluded over clear platic. I took the front off the disk and glued it in place with black form tape. The power light was clear plastic I just didn’t light seal it.

(pic 2)
The fan controller is from the PC. I powered it and the fans with a power block for a old external disk drive.

The controller controls 3 fans and has 3 temperature probes. I measure air in, air out top leaf temp. Temps vary by room temp but norms are - 72 in 76 leaf, 80 vent out.

I have 3 lights – ( plants not started in this but in a window I know the plants are too tall )

Right now they are 2 23 watt 65k and a 23 watt 24k

The vent in fan in on top, vent out uses a carbon filter for light and odor control. The carbon filter I got at HD for $5 for a 3 X 3 foot piece.

The out vent fan is a blue led fan, so some light leaks looks normal.

Well I will keep you updated

I really need a way to water for a week when I am gone. I would light to use a bucket of water on a shelve.
Any ideas any one.

Before you leave for a week, transplant into larger containers. Bury the stems all the way up to the embryonic leaves. Water very well and then you can leave for a week. Make sure you put perlite in the soil, 1 part perlite to 4 parts soil for drainage. If you container is large enough, it should stay moist enough for about a week. BTDT.

I was at Big Lots today, and they have a plant self-watering device. Looks just like those huge Water Tower things that you see all around, a big dome with a cylindrical shaft. The pic looked just like a bowl/pipe too, heh!

Apparently you just fill it with water, and it "auto-drips" for a few days with the water you put in. Get a couple to water your plants while you're gone :)
