I am new to growing and looking for some advice on my setup. I am planning on growing two lowryder #2 feminised seeds using only cfl's. My idea is to use two 65watt cfl's floro's for the vegging and then switching the bulbs out for two 42watt "warm" cfl's for flowering. Can I Just use the 42watt warms becouse lowryder basically skips the vegging stage or maybe use one 65watt floro and two 42watt warm throughtout the entire grow? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. bongsmilie

i would use all 4 lights at the same time, that would be about 2 lights per plant...just my 2 cents

I agree, keep the whole setup going for maximum lumens and a mixed spectrum. LR has such a quick lifecycle they will love the mix. You could totally stay with the 65's the whole way though for just 2 plants since they will put out the most useable light. those little bastards wont demand too much...and since the yield is more modest, the "warm" bulbs shouldnt make too noticeable a diff. I just got 20 auto dwarf mix seeds and I cannot wait to germ. Using 2 65 watt CFL for Veg and then switching to a 250 HPS after 2 weeks when roots are burly. Hope you get some good yield, keep us posted!

i too am planning on a similar set up. is two 65 watts enough for the plants? do you think 3 45 watt cfl's will do the trick for two plants?my plan was too use three 45 watt cool bulbs and 1, 45 watt warm bulb during the veg. then switching over to all warm during the flowering process. any suggestions?
