My first hydro grow

This is my first ebb & flow system and I built it all by myself using simple materials anyone can find if they look around. The system is pretty basic, and a work in progress.. I used a long more shallow tote for the flood tray, a standard tote for nutrient tank, net pots, water pump, bubbler, and a water heater.

I built the lighting system as well using a vent pipe (reflector shield), 2 light fixtures, cfl bulbs, and some light chain to hang lighting.

Let me know what you think. **Update** I will be upping my lighting tomorrow, and have since laid reflector shielding on flood tray top.. I will post more updates soon.

not bad.... but u have all ur lights placed right at the middle... nothing wrong with that ... only problem with that is that the plants will tend to bend towards the light... i would recommend to spread the light out

yes, I intend to expand the lighting more as they grow. For now, the lighting they have will have to do.until they require more.

Nice root growth indeed. How big is your grow space? that seems to be about a dozen plants in there, is that a 125W CFL (the big guy).

Thanks for the reply.. Space is limited for now, but plan on building another flood tray and doing 6 in each tray.. Yes that is the 125w cfl light, I was very happy to get my hands on that bad boy!

btw, roots are looking sweet.. I plan on updating pics soon of the growth
