my first grow

Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce my closet and babies to ya

This is my first setup and any feedback is of course appreciated. We are still missing a few things but they are on the way from various mail-orders (ph equipment, temp+humidity meters, etc.)

These little girls are mostly bagseed from some crazy stony homegrown indica a friend's mum did. A couple of em are dank-ass medical shit I saved from when we still had medical dispensaries where I live...I had NL, OG Kush, Orange Kush, some maple syrup tasting shit and Sour Diesel and two of them sprouted...who knows which. They were sprouted under the sun and then moved under the 400W MH when it arrived 2 days ago. I think some of them definately stretched a bit before the light got here.

Once they outgrow their little containers the ones in perlite/vermiculite are going under hydro. The others are gonna stay in soil and go in another closet

Anyways, enough of my babbling (smoked too much sour deez) heres the pics:

They should be closer to the lights.. there stretching

They had already stretched when I placed them under the light, and haven't seemed to since so I thought they were okay. I will drop it a few inches and post more pictures before lights-out tonight.

definately da high-grade! the co-op sold the stuff at $65 for 1/8th...but I know the dude who supplied so lets just say I didn't pay that for my sample.

Dont place that 400 watt light to close. Seedlings dont need that much light your at risk of burnning them up. Some cfls work great for seedlings. Or place them back in the window

I dropped it 3 inches and it's perfectly comfortable to hold my hand in there.
My girl says it feels "cool" to her. I live in socal so environment temps are very mild here whether its hot or cold.
Sadly this is the best temp indicator I have at the moment.

You dont know if its high grade or not, i dont really belive in there being a high grade seed, High grade seeds are Canadian pot,
Homemade strains that you cannot buy. Those are the highest quality seeds.

BCbud is #1 in the world and is shipped world wide, that why everyone has good bud, because In BC marijunana is nearly the Top#1 spot for sales in BC.

Lots of sites CLaim to be high grade, like HG seeds... its bullshit man, there not highgrade and HG rips you off.

i hate that there are so many differnt kinds, you never accully know if your cronic is good, i know Cali has some good ass cronic, but everything sorta started from BC, Homegrow BC bud is so good. and i live right next to BC, so i get it cheap and ez, i think its better then pretty much everything out there.
untill you smoke canadian ganja, dont judge this post, only a opinion.

but you gotta becareful who you buy seeds off of, Nirvana sells good seeds, and they are trustworthy.

o yeah and LOL i would never buy pot for $65 an either, he is selling that there for that price, and i can get the same if not more for $20 canadian, and 10 times better quality smoke. your proboly going to shit a brick when you see this... BLAH BLAH Cali bud pwns yours, naw unless you grow your own like ya are now, its still not the best "high quality" when i get my hands on some good ol' Organic Homegrown BC bud, and there are seeds in it, im goin to hope for a male, so i can cross BC bud with, Mazar, accully i got the Perfect plant to mix it with, One Homemade strain crossed with another

I ordered northern lights and snow white from nirvana and am anxiously awaiting

In regard to the quality, I smoked the grass the seed came from and it was tops. I hope I can grow it as good as that bag was.
And about paying $65 an eighth, that's pretty much how the co-ops here operated. I am not one to hate on someone getting grass to those who need it but I would say many of them were in the business with dollar signs in their eyes. I never used them as a primary source unless I had to, but it was definately fun to check them out from time to time. Now they are all closed down by federal raids. It's definately better to know those who grow the good shit. I suppose you can't get away with trying to hype stuff as 'medical quality' here though

ok so you got a 400w metal halide.

you need to be giving plants that size around 400 lumens.

so your probably achieving somewhere around 50000 lumens with the metal halide,

Intesity = light output devided by distance square

so they probably stretched before you got them underneath that light, but its not going to hurt too much, i'd say you want to have the halide at around 3 foot away to give sufficient lumens without overdoing it, then as they grow and get more into the veg stage start bringing it back down so that it is 12" away without any cooling or 6-8 inches away with cooling.

I hear Medical Quality is fucking rubbish, because they take the whole plant stem and all, Grind it up into power and sell it. That is rubbish.... but yeah since your in the states i can see you paying more then average. but for Dank shit here it is $20 an eighth $20-$40 depending on the dealer. but usually High quality smoke.

but right on Nirvana is a good company to buy from! quality with Rep.

I have no idea what you mean about grinding up plants stem and all. I would go into the clubs and see a beautiful fist-sized nugget of each strain in a glass cup waiting to be smelled. I definately had some amazing strains through the co-ops but my normal homegrow hookup is WAY danker and costs $40 an eighth at most. And I have friends on the east coast and middle of the USA thay pay $60 regularly for buds we would laugh at. It's all relative.
