hey im using cfls to and any of the cfls touched the plant because one accidently touched the tip and its not looking so well anymore any suggestions? im a newbie.
If your plants got burned by the light the just move the lights up a little and see how they start doing after that. Make sure you have good ventilation also.

Cool!, im starting a mini version of this grow with 2 18 gallon rubbermaid tubs, i know theyr small but its all i can do right now, i just cant get the ventilation right. I have 2 small fans hooked up to a 12v for exhaust and 2 4-in squares for passive intake but since its in my attic its at a constant 88-92 degrees, what should i do? Im thinkin of gettin 1 120mm fan from circuit city and adding it to the exhaust, do you think this will work? and i only have 3 cfls running for now so if i were to add another 3 the temp would probly skyrocket.
sorry for the long post:-)

I also had temp problems. I got a poster frame from Wal-Mart and cut it to make a heat shield that I hung under the lights. My exhaust is at the top so the heat shield keeps all the heat at the top and the fan sucks it right out of the box. I have my setup in my room though and keep my A/C running when the lights are on so the passive intakes are constantly pulling in cool air. Keeping it cool in the attic will be more difficult.

how tall do you think the plants will be when finished
I have read that they could double or triple in size during flowering but since this is my first grow I really can't accurately say how big I think they will get. Hopefully they won't get too much bigger. Except for the buds that is. I hope they out grow the box.:blsmoke:

good luck, i hope your wishes come true
but as for me i need the opposite i am limited to the closet space in my apartment and after seeing your method i gave it a go except with one box
if i tie them down properly do you think i can keep the height of the plant within one box?
oh, and btw how did you do that co2 thing?

One box would be very hard to do in my opinion. Mine are as tall as one tub right now and I have several weeks to go. If you plan on trying it i would recommend 12/12 light cycle from seed. The co2 bottle is just sugar water and yeast. Its basically fermenting sugar water which creates co2.

The time till harvest would all depend on the strain you will be growing. Something like lowryder would be good for you. It stays really short and finishes from seed in 9 weeks. The co2 setup needs to be changed about every 2 weeks. No problem. Glad I can help.:blsmoke:

well it's bagseed and that's all i have to work with
that being said what would you estimate the seed till harvest time?
on the 12/12 schedule

With bagseed there really isn't any way to judge the time. Its all about when the trichomes are ready. I would say the very least amount of time would be 12 weeks but thats just a guess. I haven't done very much research on 12/12 schedules. I am sure their are some threads about it on here somewhere.

Here are some updated pics of my girls. They are really looking nice. Buds are forming every where. They are now 27 days into 12/12. What do you guys think? Are they looking the way they should for their age?

Thanks man! Its my first time to lst any plant but I think they came out ok. Hopefully it will increase the yield! I will try to get that co2 in the middle. Its kind of hard getting them all in the tub without having any bud sites covered up. I plan on harvesting for a more up kind of high. I am going for milky trichomes with very few amber.:blsmoke:

I would ideally like to have a stash of two different kinds. One to get me going in the morning and one to put me down at night. Would it be possible to harvest some of the buds then leave some to mature more?
