I wanna do this really bad, but I have some questions:

-How bad is the smell?
-Do the tubs get really hot cause of the lights?

Looks like a nice setup, I'm working a small grow spot at the moment too, I actually like yours so much I may use the same basic set up. How much do those bulbs cost? And the timer?

So far all I can smell is a slight minty smell when my room has been closed up all day. The temp is staying around 80-84. I put in a heat shield under the lights and it hasn't gone over 84 since. The tubs themselves stay a little warm but nothing that would cause problems

Here is an update on the ladies. I tied them down last night but these are pictures from right before. They are 13 days old. I think the are looking great. What do you guys think? I will get pics of them after being tied soon. Thanks to everyone for stopping by to take look!:blsmoke:

Wow, this grow looks really cool. It looks like you put in some good time and effort, and it's definitely paying off for you! I have a few questions though. What kind of soil are you using? Also, where did you buy those light fixtures from?

I have the same setup except using 12 cfl's I use plexi glass in front of the lights with a 2 inch space at one end and a 250cfm exhaust fan acting as a cool tube. The temp's stay at 70-75 deg with the exhaust being 100F. If you run nto any problems with heat this will fix it. I bought the plexiglass at Lowes where they cut it for me.

Thanks! I did put quite a bit of work into it so lets hope it does pay off. I am using Expert Gardeners Perfect Mix and the light fixtures come from Lowes.

I used the plastic from a poster frame to create a heat shield but its not working quite as well as yours. My temps aren't going over 84 so far. I may just need to get another fan in there some how.

Here are the pictures taken just after I tied them down. It has been a little over a day since I tied them down and have notice the branches that are now reaching for the light are getting kind of tangled up. Is this normal? Will they fix themselves or should I tie the branches down also?

Have you just been watering them daily (how much)? Using any nutes yet?/if not when do you plan on starting?

I water them every other day sometimes every third day. I don't measure a certain amount. Just until the soil looks wet. No nutes yet. I was planning on starting them when I begin flowering. I plan on using the Expert Gardeners blooming fertilizer.

I couldnt help but laugh when I saw the pics of your plants all tied up! LOL I'm sure there is a good reason but at first glance I thought they were trying to escape. Very nice setup btw.
