My First Grow

Hello my fellow cultivators... I will be posting my first grow here for you to see and mainly for help, and to receive any hints and tips that will help me have a very successful first grow.... Im growing in closet space of 8 feet(w)x2.54 feet(w)x2.83(L) I currently have 6 plants of the white widow strain in this space. The reason I have that man is because in my inexperience I forgot to purchased feminized seeds so I planted 6 seeds in hopes to at least have 2 to 3 female plants and hopefuly 4 or 5 which is a longshot.. but here goes..

For the beginning of my grow on 10/26/06 I germinated the seeds using the paper towel method, I placed the seeds in damp paper towels and closed them up and put them in a mason jar and placed the mason jar on top of my stove. (it helps that my stove is a gas stove). I was actually glad i decided to soaked the rockwool cubes in properly ph balanced water(5.5) the night before because the seeds all popped in 1 day.

10/27/06 - As I stated before all 6 seeds germinated in one day.. so I transplanted the seeds into the rockwool I had soaked in the ph balanced water for 24 hours previous to transplanting the seeds into the rockwool. I placed the seeds underneath flourescent lights for 24 hours a day and will leave them like this until the proper time to transplant again into the bigger rockwool cubes and use the mh & h lmix lighting.

10/29/06 - Had to add some more water ph balanced water to the seedlings.. at this point in time the have sprouted and are growing to my amazement so quickly.

10/30/06 - 11/01/06

These are just pics of how much they have grown and how they look. Either today or tomm I will be moving them over to the bigger rockwool cubes and under the mh & H lighting on the proper 12-8 cycle

first off... there are 24 hours in a day, not 20
second... if they are growing, from everything i have read on here, somewhere between 18 and 24 hours of light a dar is ideal.

otherwise, good luck

slam, you can minipulate light in many ways. he can do 12/8, although it would be harder to do. I have friends that swear by going 4/1 they say it simulates a day. who knows?

As long as they are growing and looking good. Way to go!
