Ok so i havent planted yet, but my journal is going to include the buliding of my grow room.
this is going to be my first grow, second if you count a seedling. But at that point i didnt have room to grow so i just aborted it. that was about a year ago. So IM BACK! Im gonna start my journal from the contruction of my mini grow room/closet. it with be 3' 7" High 3' 8" Wide, and 2' 4" deep. The photo at the end of the post is the wood i got for it. theirs actually 2 peices of wood and 1 cardwood type of wood.
Day 1 : Today i purchased (2) 4'x8' strong boards, better then ply wood but its nothing special like oak. And also got a strong type of card board, if you have a card table its basically the same thing, its pretty strong and its just for the outside and i will screw that onto the structure using 2x2's or 4x4's or somthing of the kind. i am thinking about getting more wood, but for now im just worried about the grow area, so this will be enough. the floor of the closet will be the wood, and all sides will be the wood aswell, except for the back wall since the cardboard was cheaper and will be easier to cut holes into using a sharp blade for my exhaust. Don't get me wrong its not cardboard like a corona box or a box like you pull a tv out of, its actually very strong and my tv is sitting on one of those card tables since my last tv stand broke and its been holding a very heavy tv for about 3 months with no problem. anyway im gonna make the ceiling of the grow box with a couple 2x4's and cover it up with the cardboard. (i may be confussing some of you but when i finish up and get the pics it will all make sense) its the same concept as a wall with beams with dry wall placed over it, but it will be the ceiling of the closet with the beams on the inside for hanging my lights (cfl grow btw)
