this is my first post to the forum and I'm glad to be on here. I'll cut right to the chase and get talkin' about the stealth grow operation i want to start just for myself and personal usage.
I'm a college student in the states and during the summertime, i obviously live with my parents. They have a little crawlspace underneath the stairs that lead from downstairs to upstars of our split ranch. This crawlspace is only accessable through a door in the wall in my mother's closet in her office. I have never, ever, EVER known either of them to store anything in there or go in there for any reason. So, i figure it's a great place to do my little project. Note-this is a view from inside the soon-to-be grow room.
The space was very dusty to start off with so I had to give it a good sweep and finally vacuum out all the little bits in the corners and in creases of 2X4's.
just for information, the Measurements on the effective growing space i plan to utilize are: 44 inches wide X 74 inches long X 42 inches high. I figure this is enough to hold at least 6 5 gallon pots and maintain healthy plants in all of them
After that was done, i asessed what sort of things i would need in this little grow room. I have done soooo much research in the past 6 months or so, watched every grow video available online, and read a few books including one by a regular poster here, SeeMoreBuds. It is his style of small-scale growing as described in "Buds for Less" that i plan to utilize through multiple 42w CFL's.
That being said, i know that I need power and free moving air first before i even think about putting any plants in this space. since i'm only planning on growing 4-6 small plants (induced at 2-4 weeks) the free moving air will be accomplished by an oscilating fan i will put in the room close to the point of access.
As far as power is concerned, there is an incoming line plugged into a light bulb socket which hopefully carries enough current to run the 6-10 42w CFL's
If for whatever reason that doesn't contain a current, i'll have to find a way of bringing power into the room possibly through one of these holes drilled into the wall that leads into our family room on the opposite side.
Other than that guys, i'd love to hear any input, ideas of seed banks to order from, strains to consider, etc. Also, i'll attach all the pictures i took of the room even if there are duplicates from the body of the thread.
Thanks a bunch!
