pix look good.

well i use 3 fans + an air-purifier w/ a U/V button that kills mold, mildew, bacteria, cig. smoke, anything 2 microns and larger it will filter.

ventilation is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo important. 1. it simulates the wind for stregnhthening the leaves and plant plus prevents mold and such.

best wishes......................joey

well its great seeing another white rhino grow. Its amazing how many phenotypes there are... yours look completely different from mine. I've been growing white rhino since 2007 and mine has sativa looking leavers which i was told is from the Brazilian indica. Also some grow up like yours is and branch out but others are bushes from the start. They all end up causing MASSIVE couchlock its an instant coma!

Oh yeah some of the experts could give you better advice but I recommend getting an oscillating fan blowing on the ladies if you dont have one. I also put a small fan blowing on the canopy to help with the heat cause the canopy could be 10-20 degrees warmer and if you do that you can get them closer to the light.

I'll hazard an opinion ... the plants are very dark green. What are you feeding them? Specifically, since you've switched to flower, I'd stop feeding them N. That could account for the incipient leaf curl, and it would only get worse as flowering progresses ...Those are very well-fed plants. I'd lay off the nutes for a week or so, then feed P/K-heavy. cn

Ive recently started feeding them with product called maxfeed (Miracle Grow) All purpose) The packet says total nitrogen 15%? Is this to much? ive been feeding it as directed once a week since flowering.
Is this leaf curl going to effect my final outcome of plant sorry for this and thanks for your help mate!

The reason there are so many different looking plants, or as you called them phenotypes, is because very few people here ever grow the original genetics, Mr. Nice Seeds Medicine Man (which Scott Blakey/Shantibaba renamed his Cup winning White Rhino.) Other stains called White Rhino are different breeders knockoff versions that are genetically different, so their plants would look different, or breeders selling F2s of the original, which of course would mean more phenotypes due to being F2s.

Hey BT wouldnt you say that is the case with many strains nowadays? With all the pollen chuckers out there I think the only way u can get the REAL strain is buy it from the original breeder in most cases.

Sure, I would agree with that.

But I guess my point was not made very clearly, and that is it amazes me how people will talk about a strain name, and not an actual strain,, just any strain that carries the same name and seem amazed that there are more than just minor differences that could rightly be attributed to different phenotypes alone.

Once of my favorite examples is Black Widow/White Widow. There is the original, Mr. Nice Seeds Black Widow, and then there are about 30 or so genetically different knockoffs and F2s all called White Widow ... but when someone buys/grows a White Widow they almost always act as if they grew the Real McCoy and there can often times be arguments between people giving advice because one person's version of White Widow took 'X' number of weeks and another will say it will take 2 to 3 weeks more, etc. The differences between versions and F2s are seldom if ever factored in.

This thread it titles "My First White Rhino Grow." But does it tell anyone which knockoff or F2 it is? You know it's not the original or else the title would have been My First Medicine Man Grow or My First Medicine Man AKA White Rhino Grow, or something signifying that it is original genetics. It didn't so all anyone can know about it is it's not the Real McCoy.

It's common that strain names alone will be used when someone says what they are growing and since there are so many knockoffs and F2s of famous popular strains, when one is grown unless someone mentions the breeder name too there will always be some degree of confusion. If asking for advice the person can receive horrible advice because what worked for the version the person giving advice can easily be wrong advice for the version a person asking a question since there is a good chance it is a different version.

Oh yes way too much.
Think of the leaf curl astthe plant informing you that something's not right. If you don't correct the not-rightness, the plant simply won't be able to perform to its "pot"ential. A nute imbalance would most definitely affect the quantity and possibly the quality of the final bud. cn

I've looked at the MaxFeed products ... they all are high N, low P/K. I would simply get some old school 15-30-15 "african violet food" for now, and keep an eye out for Mg deficiency ... dissenting opinions? please chime in! ... but for now I'd just water. Let your dearies digest what's in their bulging little bellies :bigjoint: ... Overfeeding is one of the commonest "enthusiastic new grower' mistakes.

In re best fertilizers, do you have a hydro shop nearby? Are you OK with ordering off the 'Net? Some lovely weed-specific products out there, and I really invite you to "read up" ... but if your thumb is green you can grow pretty well with the regular garden-store stuff. cn
