Good Morning. Looking good here. Check It Out!! When the new LEDs come in, the setup will change a lil bit again. LED's Up TOP and CFLs sides with all red LED's mixed in. I'm hoping the 4 43W 2700K CFL will make up the deficiency in the blooming state. I will also switch tanks to accommodate bigger plants when necessary. I have 2 Killer Green DWC 4 gal tanks with 4 4" pots each waiting for the day to be used. More pics to come. I hope the little one makes it. Roots have not taken well but it is growing.

Temp 75F
PPM 900
PH 6.0 adjusted 5.5
Tank Temp 78F Capacity 8 gal Fluid Level 2.5 gal

I've got a total of 7 red LED bulbs plus 2 red and blue are on the way. I will be adding 4 43w 2700k CFLs and removing the 5 that are in now when bloom comes in 1 1/2 weeks. I hope that does it cause my pockets are tapped.

WEEK 2 DAY 4 GH Nute Cycle
Good Morning. All looks wells here. I transplanted the girls into a DWC last night system by Killer Green. The roots of each plant were hanging free. I figured it would be smart to save Nutes, get the girls into a smaller 4 gal system vs 8 gal. Right? Otherwise twice the water means twice the nutes and the girls are not drinking that much right now. When I exposed the roots, I all i could smell was funk:joint:.. Wow. Well my goal here is to grow without trying to dissipate so much heat from a HPS. I dont own my grow spot. If you check the pics, you can see the RED LED flood lights waiting for the time to put into use. Where you seed the CFLs on top, the new LEDs ore going there on a 4 bulb bathroom fixture. The all red LEDs and the 2700K bulbs will go on the sides to focus on the buds since LEDs do not penetrate far past the canopy. I also put weather stripping around the door to conceal the light when the closet is closed. Tomorrow night the room will morph one more time before going to bloom.

just make sure that res doesnt go over 70 deg (that is my opinion, but you dont want it to get hot at all)

agreed, no foil, lights closer. trust us, it's great advice
Did you lose the foil? I would also move the lights closer
Here's the latest pics of the girls and the completed grow room. When I checked today, girls looked a little humm drumm so I decided to add 5ml of floragrow and 5ml of florabloom. Perked up. Then added the 2 full spectrum LEDs I been waiting to buy. The CFLs are now just on standby. If I need them, I'll add for Veg, otherwise I'll wait till bloom and screw in 6 43W 2700k CFLs.

Let Me know what you guys think.

Looking good for veg, I'm a pretty skeptical when it comes to the flowing part. I have seen many times that the yield of led's is a lot less then with HID lighting. Please Prove me wrong and get some high yielding plants. Also, I don't know if I missed it some were in the thread but what strain are you growing?

Dont know the strain but I've already tasted some from the mother. These were clones from a buddy. It was really sweet, up and cerebral. A potent stone. I'm going to flower with LEDs and CFLs. See what we get. Maybe you can tell me after a while.

:spew:I thought I read everything that I needed to read but then I read someones thread. I realized that my grow room was bone dry. RH 9 with the door closed. LOL. My girls were no where near as plump as I see some on here. I added a humidifier hoping that I would fatten the girls up a lot in the next few weeks b4 flowering. I put it on a timer on/off every 15 mins or so. I hope this gets it. Any suggestions?

Honestly, you can never get enough advice, that's why this site exists. I like the setup, i would look up some home made humidifiers.

Low humidity can cause vapor pressure deficit.

VPD is not a bad problem for hydro,
since the plants have access to plenty of water.

If you notice water pooling on the leaves
then you may benefit from slightly higher humidity.
I don't think you will have this problem
with the type of lighting you are using.

High humidity can be a problem
after the budz are dense, and mold can set in.

You should go ahead and run all the lights you have, cfl and led.

Here is a grower using LEDs.
