My first grow journal!

Hello I'm new here So please forgive me if I do something wrong!
I'm a newb and I've only grown once before. A NL auto that came out ok.
This time around I'll be growing papaya (mango). I have two plants one small and the other big. The big plant was topped and the smaller one is just lucky to be alive lol I have them under a 300watt galaxyhydro LED light and I was supplementing with 150watt CFL and a few T5 lights but desided to hold off on the extra lighting till flowering. I started in early Feb. I hope you guys enjoy and feel free to yell at me if I'm doing something wrong. I keep PH at 6.2 - 6.7 and feed them very little. They r at a 16/8 schedual (was recommended) I plan on taking clones and throwing the plants into flower at the end of the month. My goal is to harvest 3oz between the two plants. Would this be possible? .. Also about a week ago I dropped my T5s on my big plant and snapped one of it's main stems. I freaked out and cried alil and then tyed it back together with string. So far it seems alright but I'm still worried. I'll post pictures this afternoon but till then this is what i got. Most recent picture is on the 17th of March.

You may hit that if you veg a little longer and supercrop and lst those girls
Ok. Would the snapping of one of the main stems count as supercropping? And I've thought about topping the little one right before flower I'm just worried it'll be shadowed by my big one.

Yes. Lol that would count. Fim the little guy. LST both a little longer. Put the little guy on a box or something to maintain canopy height

Update: plants r doing fine had a little underwatering problem but they r fine now. Both r now topped. One is a foot and the other is 16in. I'll start flowering tomorrow! So far these plants have has no stink but inhave a filter on there ready for when they do. My tent is going to be so cramped :-\ I'll have to get a bigger tent next time. I'm feeling good about getting 3oz from the two plants. I was averaging 35grams a plant when I had auto NL under T5 lights and i harvested early on all of them :P

Day 5 of flowering and the ladys r doing great. When I open the tent in the morning they smell awesome. So far papaya has been a great strain and I haven't had any problem during veg. I fed them light nuts about 1/4. Here's some pictures please let me know what you people think. I feel like I'm just talking to myself lmao...

with those lights they look like pointsettas. lol. they should be stretching a little bit now.

Haha I know! I love the different colors I get when I take pictures. I've already noticed some stretching which I'm happy to see. They are real bushy and I was worried they werent gonna stretch cuz I topped them but so far they r filling out nicely. Very close nodes but from what I read that's a good thing

Day 10 of flowering: the plant on the right looked thirsty so I have them their second flowering feeding today. The any on the right is in Fox farm soil and the one on the left is in Wal-Mart hyponex soil (i ran out of Fox farm and has this laying around) and so far I haven't had any over or underwatering problems with the one in hyponex but the one in Fox farm is always giving me problems..anyway they still don't smell all that much and buds dont seem to be forming. Should be soon thought. I took clones a couple days before flowering and now have 4 kinda healthy clones lol not sure what I'll do with them yet my grow space is limited and it'll be awhile before my current tent is done flowering. Might keep one and give out the rest to trusted friends and family if they all survive. That's all for now ✌

Great looking plants butbi wish i wouldve found this journal before you flipped. If you wouldve topped the large once once more on all the mains and lst to keep itbin line while the smaller one caught up then topped it and flipped you wouldve still had a low canopy and increased your yields. Still a great job though. Excited to see these girls finish.

Thank you! I know I could have done more lst and trimming but I'm learning! I've started tieing down taller branches and alil bending to allow others to catch up. I hate asking this question lol but do u think my goal of 3oz off the two plants is reasonable?

Oh yeah dude. This is your second grow youre learning a bit at a time. Thats how i started too. Great way to go about it dont overwhelm yourself with everything at once.

Anyway my 2nd grow was 2oz dry and i ran 2 plants micro style topped each one lst and flip real fast. They were no where near the size of yours. My first grow was 2 plants and 2.5oz dry under cfl. I expect you will beat those 2 as well. Ill be watching for progress i can make a more accurate guess a few weeks in. But i expect that 300w led to pack the buds decently.

Awesome! I figured a 300watt led would do the trick i also supplement with T5 lights and a 150watt CFL.. I'll be sure to keep it updated! Thanks again

Keep a roll of duct tape as well. You can tape stem in and it can recover.

Nice grow so far.

Honestly man i would get the cfl out of there. You habe to keep them sooo close within 4" of the plant to do any good. So unless they are on the sides they arent providing anything useful really. That led will have enough spread over center to cover everything.

But if you think they help and like them then keep em in there for sure. Or if they are low and on the sides is fine.

Yeah it's pretty weak I normally have the cfl on the side of the smaller plant but lately it's been over the clones
