Okay, I started my little seeds out and after they were germinated they were planted on Feb 3 2007. I have mix of pictures from the first few days up until today, the 16th. I feel like they aren't growing very fast and I have gnats....bummer. I have a closet set-up, a house that has really low humidity and I am using an aquarium light that a friend told me to use. Don't know how efficient this is???? Going tomorrow to get stuff to get rid of gnats. I have read that if you mix 1 part peroxide to 3 parts water and water the plant and then do not water again until plant is dry making sure to cover entire top layer. Going to try this first. Says it will not hurt the plants. Does anyone have any advice?? How do I know when to cut back the lights. I am running 14 on 10 off??? When do I switch to regular flourecents?? Are they small for two weeks old?? So distressed???

Help, PLease,Anyone!
Happy420!

Light should be 18/6
Floro 1 inch at the most from the plants
Fan on them
You will need a timer
Ph kit
Moisture meter
Fertilizer

If you put 3 in one pot and grow until flowering how will you seperate any males from the bucket? This could be a problem.

You are going to have a really hard time being successful with that set up. Go to Newbie central and click on 101 already asked questions. You will learn a lot from that post and get you pointed in the right direction.

After some feedback, I have re-designed my set-up. There are still two in one pot but I'll just kill the one that doesn't look like it's going to be strong, or the male if I can figure that out?? Changed the height of the light and the amount of light the plant is getting. Now doing 18/6..... still think they look really small??? Repotted all plants and got a 3 in 1 organic ditty for the gnats. The soil was not organic, but it was the only one I could find with perlite??? I'm not trying to make a profit on this, only for personal consumption..... Anyone know if this is going to work?? Also, got a PH tester....???? HELP?? PLease!!!

If you read enough and know what males look like early on, you should be okayl I had 7 plants in on pot. 2 died and 2 were males. I caught them early on and defintely knew they were males. Pulled them out, roots and everything. The females were fine and not affected one bit. Make sure you read up on males and females happy420. Good luck on the grow. I hope everything works out. Remember to experiment with tons of different things and read alot about it. That is the only way to ensure you will be successful. This site is a great reference.

Your first grow will be a learning experience, but you can still be successful too. Get a fan, this will help produce strong stems for you, the strong stems will hold the weight of your buds better. Even an old computer fan will help.
Keep them all seperate. You'll want to add more lights soon.
I wish you the best of luck with your new grow, and have fun!
