Well got a set up that concists on this items from general hydroponics 2)blackstar 240w led's,ecogrower 17 gallon reserv. 4/2 tent,(a extra bucket with nutrafin (natural co2 souRce),(growcheck constant ph meter),(thermometer for water),(heater for inside tank)(humidifier),4 airstones inside the tank),1 fan blowing air arround all the time , and a ihome 18 hours a day lol ! There's 6 thai haze and 1 random seed as gift from dope.seeds.com and a aerogarden with 1 shortstuff auto female blue himalayan diesel. ( Andd ofcourse a inline fan with odor control) the plants look madd happy water temp is 72 ,closet humidity is 47percent temp on room is 74.6 at day and at night 72 ph on water is 5.7 to 6.0 all the time ....... Will post pictures on wednsday so u guys see what I'm talking about ... Kee in mind this is my first hydroponic grow ! I'm exited and really happy with this little power house I built in my walkin closet ! Annyways gime me reply on thoughts on my set up please and advises toooo!

Youve got a decent water temp but a tad high. With this being said i would ad hygrozyme for the roots. Its kinda expensive but worth it in the long run...

get an HPS or CMH to flower with, would be the most valuable advice i can give.

YEAP i got the mh light with dusct and everything is just ive been reading things and this leds i have in my closet are the shit ..... people sayt stuff about cheap leds but this ones are so bright that when u get out of the room ... even do u werent looking at the lights u can only see grenn and yellow thats how strong the lights are and ech one cost me 255 so ..... im just getting the mh lights for the next round with the short stuff 20 mix seeds i got like 28 from them 8 free including 2 auto females blue himalayan diesel , another called MI5 that consist of really big ass leafs and should i mention is purple the whole MI5 !!!!! lol but right now i was triying out my new hydro set up with this ones before i go in to much ! lol again this little project is my whole life dream since i was living with my parents lol so no i am living large jajajaja! if u guys have


PS! just ordered hygrozyme from amazon should i lower the temp on the reserv? what temp should i have then i was reading that 72 is good for the water if its hydro ! if not instruct me i dont want to be ignorant! thanks

Try to aim for 65-68 degrees. You can use frozen water bottles to bring the temps down or if you want use a ice chest or 5 gallon sports cooler as your reservoir.

hey man i'm stoned, just read in your first post didnt mention exhaust. exhaust/intake are not just for temperature, plants need fresh co2, especially in flower.
and about the led's, even the best ones are great for vegging but not nearly good enough for flowering. the regular mh works but hps or the ceramic mh even better for flowering. trust me on this, dont flower with led's or without exhaust if you want to fulfil you lifetime dream :)

and if i flower with 600 hps and the 2 ...240w ? would that be good ? andddd 1 moore question ! my ph is 6.2 is that good ?

well a 600 can cover like 4x4 area so if you have bigger than that, then you can use the 240w, can also use them as side light but you'll be raising your power usage a lot with no optimal efficiency. i'd stick with the 600 alone, less fuss.
no that ph is no good for hydro, you need it at 5.8, unlike soil where you want it at 6.2-6.5

so i upgraded to 1-600w cooltube with hps on it and i positioned the two 240w led on the sides so all of em get light i have an invention to not take out the auto female blue hymalayan in a litle cheese box i made with the light bulb of the aerogarden inside of it is all covered in mylar so has 2 little vents i check on the little one 20 times a day lol so thats the new stuff on next monday it has 2 weeks today is saturday so... check all the pics i have a afgan cush loll from a bag of seed from a friend he sold me a 20 i found them lol have 4 left this one i hope is female lol.. for certain is that the one in the box is garanteed female ima leave 24/0 on the autoflowering to see if can catch up to the other guys lol...IMG-20110219-00057.jpgIMG-20110219-00053.jpgIMG-20110219-00050.jpg

how big is your area? you got only 4 of these little ones? a 600 is more than you need and they need much more vegging so you can stick with the led's until flowering. i think 600 + 2 250's is way overkill for only 4 of this size of plants in the pics...

well with the leds they werent looking so happy after i put them in this little positions they look stronger and more energetic.... and dont forget to mention healthy

so i changed the hps bulb to the mh bulb to see the diference first hand lol... but ive been reading allot so ima stick to mh for the next week and half till i han leave all of the lights .... cause never seen the plants so happy as of yesterday.... when i put the hps for them they even grew like 1 inch just yestarday and also i feed them yestarday and i put the ph as u told me to (5.8) this morning ! so ima see the results tonight by the end of the day ! thanks for that imput allways have to see how i can make em happyer ! so thanks allot if annything else to add its a +++++++rep! thanks and they r cmming up strong !

just remenber guys they are led's not hps or mh ive seen that hps and mh is better than led as a main light now... ive notice that the plants like the leds as side lights i know is a waist of money to use em like that but i does make a diference when u use em but only as sidelights i have 2 of em on the parts i feel that the other seedlings are not getting the ammount of light they should be ! i dont know i just get a hunch and when i fixed it they grew a inch lol so my hunches are good but what i do aprecciate is the ph numbers u gave me i thought i was gud at 6.2 but i put it down to (5.8)
