My First Grow: DWC (open thread)

one of your plants must have hermied and that's where the seeds are coming from, usually the bottom buds are the ones that get hit the hardest by pollen because they are at the bottom, seeds can start forming as early as 5 weeks.

So i started cutting one plant down today, and holy shit, after 6 hours i still have only gotten through half of one plant. I am very pleased with how much i have already tho.

Here are the pics of how much i have harvested, and i still have so much more to go.

nicely done stew! :o

i second what jigs said, definitely go out and get yourself a pair of spring-loaded scissors, if you haven't already. best $10 i spent on my first grow.

man that's a lot of bud, can't wait to see how much you yield.

Yup i grabbed one before i started trimming. So much easier than normal scissors

Another 6-7 hours trimming, and still not finished. I got another couple hours left im sure. Jesus i hate trimming.

I have so much weed tho!

Here are some more pics before the final weigh-in.

Finally 3 days of cutting and trimming are over. I am pretty happy right now, i really didnt think i had this much, but i feel like its around 4-5 ounces? I cant really eyeball it very well but in a couple of days when its dried ill know the final weight.

Jig and Neversummer, thanks for all your help along the way :bigjoint::bigjoint::!::bigjoint::leaf::-P:-P:hump::hump:

Hope this helped a couple of people.

Be back in few days with the final #'s

I did get about 3 1/2 ounces of trim that i am making into butter today. excited for that too!

ouff, the top line of buds that i cut friday were dried already tonight. Is 3 days to fast for them to be drying?

Either way, i already have 2.75 oz's from just that one line.

I feel i might get like 6 oz's total!! That would be cool

Its all over but the curing.

I am shocked at how much these two plants produced. I really did not expect this amount. I have a 3.7 quart air tight container that is filled to the top!

197 grams is the final weight. :bigjoint::-P;-):eyesmoke::clap::-P:o:shock::cool:

I also have 1.25 lbs of butter from all the trim i had too. Should make a lot of cookies.

Man its amazing too. It has sort of a citrus smell, and the high creeps on you. At first i was a little worried because i wasnt just instantly high. It gradually builds over 5 - 10 minutes until you cant think straight. I love it.

I already have my next grow set up, and my clone is in there now. I plan on getting more clones this week and just starting over again. Ill have pics up of that, along with a new thread soon.

Ill get some more pics of the buds soon, its just my camera wont focus close up on it for some reason. I need to borrow one to get a better pic.

Man stewey, sorry I missed the harvest process. 3 days is an ok dry time.

I'm so proud of you man... that spindly looking plant really produced for you. Looks like some good smoke, and sure looks like enough of it.

Good stuff.

Did you get a picture of the roots?

No i didnt get a pic of the roots, but i still have them sitting in the box, they are like 5 days dry but i could still snap a shot.

I do have a quick question tho. The buds keep moistening up in the air tight container every day. Do i just keep burping the container until its the dryness i want? Or should i lay them in paper bags for a day?

Please do snap a shot... i'm totally curious.

I would go ahead and bag them for a day or so... if you let them cure like that the buds will still be wet in monthes. I actually have buds from my june harvest that are squishy still.

And if you do accidentally dry them too much you can remoisten. Not recommended but possible.

yo stew... congrats man! you got some great results there and oh man, you really got a good amount of bud. nicely done and looking forward to seeing the start of your next grow.
