Thats a big pot, should keep Silver Thunder happy for some time to come, nice close-ups looks great.
Have you smoked any bud off the plants, from where the clones came from, that sounds weird.

i haven't tried any bud yet, i'm going to wait a little longer. i am getting impatient... when i do try the bud, should i take it from the bottom of the plant? that's what i've heard you're supposed to do.

Flowering Day 24

plant c is a girl!! i doubt it'll yield much, but what luck! all three are girls. Silver Thunder and Olde English haven't grown much since the last update, they're probably still getting used to their new pots.

first picture is of plant c's pitils, then a closeup of the top of Silver Thunder, then a closeup of the top of Olde English, then a group shot.

Nice grow. Getting the most out of those CFLs there. Looks like you'll have some nice buds. Good to see Tetra helping out. If you're worried about electricity, don't worry. With my 400 watt HPS on 12 hours a day my electricity went up $13 from the same month last year. That's nothing.

thanks for the advice! i don't plan on buying an hps for this grow, but it's really good to know that the electricity won't go up that much.

Excellent, this is when they really fill in fast.

Think you could make a reflector for your lights using a disposable turkey roasting pan ??

Flowering day 32

a lot of Olde English's fan leaves are turning yellow and getting brown at the tips... i have read that this is fairly normal for the later part of flowering, but it's not in the later part of flowering. you can probably see in the group photo, Olde English is the big plant on the right.

Silver Thunder and Olde English's buds are looking really good, and they smell really really good up close. Olde English smells fruity and sweet, and Silver Thunder smells more skunky and sour. i was going to make reflectors for the lights, but i didn't have any aluminum pans... i plan to buy some soon. i put up more printer paper on the walls to increase reflection.

I have named plant C "Natty Ice" in keeping with my theme of inexpensive alcoholic drinks. Natty Ice has stretched out a lot, and there are more hairs, but definitely not forming buds yet. i don't really expect much of a yield from Natty.

Pictures- Silver Thunder bud, Olde English bud, another Olde English bud, Natty Ice from the side, and a group shot.

Different strains have different needs(feeding), maybe try a light feed ?

Do you have a 3 in 1 plant meter ?, little green box w/ two knitting needles sticking out of it.

Cheap, cheap, garden section, wal-mart or what ever.

i do not have one, but i'll get one. i need to go shopping. i thinking of also getting white styrofoam to put around the plants for reflection, and a tiny 30x magnifier from radioshack or something.

i'm also thinking of adding a little molasses to the water... any ideas? i guess i'll do some research into that on the forums too.

i just bought a little 60x-100x magnifier with a light at the end from radioshak, and it's really awesome, even though it's really hard to focus on the same thing for an extended period, because of the high magnification. the trichs are clear as far as i could see, although i plan to spend more time looking later. i am stoned as all hell right now, so sorry if this post is disorganized.

the magnifier was only like 13 dollars, and it's really cool, i've been looking at a lot of things under it, like my skin and my desk, and they're fascinating, especially at like 100x. i would strongly suggest getting one, it's really entertaining.

i'll try to get pictures of the trichs later, but i'm not promising anything, i'm not sure how well the camera will capture the picture through the magnifier.
