So this is my first time with dwc. I have 4-5gallon DWC buckets, the two on the left are Haze's, the back left is the mystery Haze, the front left is the Christmas Haze. The two on the right are Sensi Star x Trainwreck. The other three are potted in the same coco fiber medium that I am using for the DWC buckets. The pot in the middle is a NYCD that is having a tough time rooting. The two on the far left are NYCD(front), and Hash Plant(back). Vegging under a 400W Hortilux Blue Metal Halide. :joint:

These pics are from last night when the lights came on. All the girls are pretty perked up.. The 2 sensi star x trainwrecks and the hash plant are showing pistols already. The Christmas haze and the "? Haze" we're both topped. The Christmas haze has 4 prominent tops and 4 large lower limbs, The "? Haze" has two beautiful tops :weed:

I've been having some water stress/ algae issues in my DWC setup. I decided to go ahead and switch them to just coco fiber in pots and they all seem to be doing much better.

1 - I don't think the stuff your using to cover it up is doing any good.
2 - Make sure your res doesn't have any light that can get into it including the tubing

i made sure all my new buckets were completely light proof, the air hoses were even light proof, my issue was my water staying too hot. Gonna just do soilless coco fiber for now, might give hydro a try later on..

you can proibly buy a rad kind of thing or a water cooler thing for your res to keep it at a certin temp
My problem was that I was running 4 individual reservoirs and I can't afford an aquarium chiller for each one. Next time I do hydro I'd like to have one big rez outside of my grow room so it doesn't stay too hot.. I love how fast they grew in DWC and the node spacing, it's just too hard to keep my water clean in my hot room. Thanks for the advise though.

oh yea I threw together a test DWC and I found out that the little green air stones performs better then the air sticks. but there's deff a good amount of air in it. I have cut 2 sticks, one for each side of the containor and use the green air rock in the middle.
