I trim for lower plant access to the light , not to strip leaf bare as some do
and i only abuse ,slap ,twist the girls the last 2 weeks of veg(just once ) to get them in panic mode to throw more bud sites then flip
i tested this on autos & photos in my g/h the slapped bitches all grew bigger on the auto's it delayed blooming but it doubled the yield. (never do auto again , not my thing )

Bonjour
Autos are made to fill the vegg room in case of extra space and to wait for the main outdoor crop of October if you have some freebies!
For those who grow only autos...maybe they never tried photo reg or fem or maybe they don't like strong weed!?!

Love those close ups of those frosty girls with their pistils sticking out...and not a hint of burn at the leaf tips too. Very nice shots!
Thank you @BuddyColas :) I'm not sure how this round is going to yield or if I'll hit a gram per watt but I'm enjoying the ride no matter what. The Hashberry looks to be a week to 10 days behind the Kush Berry which is blooming very quickly. The Peak BC Kush Berry has an amazing blueberry odor when watered almost like thank you. The Hashberry has a pine tar-skunk-hash smell with fresh stepped on berrys smeared into it. Like the bottom of my shoe when I was 11 years old on spring beak, in a good way... :)

I have been looking at moving into a 4' x 8' and using 1 HLG 120 1050 with 4 CXB 3590 cobs each rail. 4 rails, 16 cobs in each 4' x 4' side with a PPDF of 1,007 and 600 watts per 4' x 4'... :)

I have a PPDF in my meter squared now of 938 with 400 watts being used...
Thank you buddy you and kony brado.... Im looking at throwing 16 3590s into a 4x4 too and i was wondering what current to run them at to keep each build under 600w.... Thanks for the good info guys much appreciated

Did you wire both drivers to the same dinner?
No both drivers have their own potentiometer. I will be adding a 10v resistor to the negative side of the dimming lead of each once this cycle is done to make sure I'm getting the max when they are both turned all the way up, or at least this is my understanding of what I've seen here. I'm sure I will reread a ton of older threads before I do go that route since everything is working well now... :)

Thank you, I never have defoliated much before. How would you recommend doing so. I have trimmed all the weaker stuff off the bottoms of the plants. I do have a lot of air moving through the tent, the tent changes air close to twice a minute. In the past the Hashberry has stretched more under hps and the arms pushed further through the canopy. Hashberry was never a big stretcher mainly just grows bud sites on top of bud site till it's a 2.5 - 3 foot tall totem of solid bud starting with a 8" th 10" vegged Clone. She likes the cobs but is growing differently then with hps. Maybe she needs the IR from hps to open her structure up a bit... :)
My last grow I defoliated a lot and it really helped increase my yield. I'm sold on it.

I have never defoliated before but I should have with the Hashberry. The cobs don't stretch those short indica girls the same way hps dose. I'm use to starting with an 8" to 10" clone and having a 2" to 2.5" pole of buds from that strain. I had a super branchy dense bush with her under the cobs. I'm talking only the top of the plant is getting light dense. I have never seen this before but it may just the pheno and I'm cloning in coco for the next round so we will see, on ward and upward... :) At least I will have a couple nice tops from the Hashberry but the rest of them will be hitting the extract pile for sure. Maybe defoliation would have helped...

My space was small and I wanted the best light penetration so striped fan leaves at intervals. IIRC it was a couple times in veg then right after the 12/12 flip then one more time about two weeks before harvest.

@BuddyColas my last grow was harvested a couple years ago and the thread was on a site that is no longer live. I've got tons of pics though and can share.

nah no resistor , just add a simple on/off switch to the circuit
off = open signal on the leads = full boost of power @ approx 105%- or +
on = what ever dimming value u set 10-100 %

42 nights in, 6 weeks done starting the seventh week today. Timers for cobs and far reds have been set back to 12/12. The ec is rising on the run off so they are slowing down for their final ripening stage. I really like the pine cone shaped buds a couple of the Kush Berry pheno's have. Hashberry has been a disappointment compaired to the runs I've had with her under hps but new light and a different pheno then I use to run could be all the difference. Over all in very happy with the diy cob set up and I will be more dialed in for it next round. Enough gibber jabber, now on with the show... :)IMAG0993.jpg IMAG0987.jpg IMAG0995.jpg IMAG0997.jpg
