My first CFL grow.

I never knew you could grow some decent bud with CFL's till just last month. Now it's going to be my new hobby
I put some bag seed sprouts in the ground on the 29th of October, so they are 21 days old. The seeds come from some real good weed that I had bought last year. Probably from a plant going hermie.
There are 3 plants, but don't know the sex yet, but I hope for two females. Right now I have a 2.5'w x 2.5'l x 3.5'h section boxed in inside my closet until I get a tent big enough for 2-3 plants.
They aren't very tall but have lots of branching on the two that weren't topped.
I think I may put them on 12/12 in another week.

My plants are 28 days old, and 3rd day of 12/12. One has turned out female, and another looks like it may be male, but still not 100% sure.
The one I topped has a calyx, but it just started so i hope that gives me my second female.

Well I ended up with just one female, but that's way better than none. I just sprouted two more bag seed, and hope to get one more female that I will grow 12/12 from seed.



She's 33 days old, and it was five days since showing pistils.
Once I cleared out my males I had a pot that was a bit bigger so I re-potted her. She's starting to pick up now.

My 3x2x5 tent shows up tomorrow so next I have to get an inline fan, and filter.
I'm also ordering some feminized seeds tonight. Not sure which ones, but the first of many probably.

looking great!! So f'ing bushy!! lol. I hope you get some females out of those 2 bagseeds.

I don't know how you figured out the sex because at that stage they all look the same until they flower or pre-flower. Just checking: how far are the lights? You know CFL can/must be at 1 to 3 inch? Looks like it wants to tip over the bucket? Not normal.

All the plants I had started showing on day 28. The first male was stacking balls right away, and the second took a couple days.
The fourth plant I had, I culled because it was slow. That was probably a female I bet.
The plant is short, bushy, and LST'd.
I keep my cfl's within 1-2 inches all the time.

I like wjat you have goin on. I am a cfl grower myself. 5 weeks into flowering and hoping to double my lights. Im at 110w right now. I LST'd mine as well. Looks like i have 10 heads comimg outa my pot. How mamy watts are you running? Plant is looking awsome though.

I'm using 166 watts right now. I have about 400watts of 2700k , but as the plants bud sites grow I will add lights.
I have between 16-20 tops that will form bud, plus more growing fast. She's about a foot in length, and still has maybe two weeks of stretch left before concentrating just on buds

I'll post a pic after a bit, but it's hard to see the difference even though I had to adjust the branches that are tied down, and tie down a couple more
My seeds sprouted 24's later, and look healthy, but stretched more than I like because I forgot to move them closer to my lights before going to work. The seeds were probably four times bigger than the seed that my female plant came from.

I got my tent set up in the closet, and the temps are noticeably lower.

Also, Pistilis are starting to grow faster, but still not a whole lot there yet. I just gave her some pure unsulfured mollasses too.

I'm here with ya bud! I'm on day 11 of a strain my friend grows in Portland. I have 3 plants hoping for 1 female. Closet cfl grow. Hope she goes well!

Not bad. just a lot of CFLs.

The cfl's were on sale half price. lol

Nothing much to report on the grow accept that she is growing like a weed, and still no smell unless you get an inch away and take a big whiff
I always thought it may be Northern Lights.

Ya they do that. Mine stretched like 6 or 8 inches after switching to 12/12. MORE LIGHT!! Haha ya im gonna get 4 more 23w this weekend. I only have a couple weeks till harvest, i think :/, but i figure more light forbthe last two weeks is better than sticking with 110w i have running..

41 days old, and 13 days flower.
There's going to be buds everywhere I think There's new branches, and buds popping out everywhere. Plus there's all the main bud sites that you can see.
I got home from work just before her lights went off, so I never really got to spend much time with her.
There's still no smell unless you get real close and move the leaves around.
