So should I get the light??!
If you want/need it, sure. And if you check their website for the info, I think it has a five year warranty.
It sounds like you're already interested, so you might already know/have seen, Migro has done a review on it (twice I think, different "revision" maybe. once in last couple months) and so had Ledgardener, both on youtube. Ledgardener has a new website called "ppfdcharts.com", which is exactly what it sounds like.
Hope you and your plants enjoy whatever you choose.

I recently got a 600 rspec and had bought a 135w bspec build kit not long ago. My one gripe would be that the 600 is just mounted to a slab of aluminum...no fins or anything to help with cooling the boards. The 135w came with a finned heatsink.

If I had it to do over again I'd have bought the build kit as they all appear to come with finned heatsinks.

Next hps that goes down will be replaced with 2 build kits that total 600w.

There's a lot more mass to the "slab of aluminum". I'd think they dissapate the heat as good as the slate heatsinks. Either way it is just passive cooling. There's some info on that on the lab reports for the fixture(s), if I remember correctly. At least the temp. and temp reading locations are mentioned.

If I didn't have a budget I'd grab one of these for a 5x5. I'm a fan of HLG though too.

I've got an X3, and so far I love it. Been a while since I've been indoors, and couldn't be happier. Need to get another light, and the X6 is definitely at the top of my list. Hopefully they release their "Guardian" system on 4-20 like the website states, its peaked my interest with having the ability to adjust the light spectrum. It's not "inexpensive" by any means, but with the way my X3 has treated my plants, the X6 just may be headed my way.

I've almost ordered a couple of those a few times. They'd work perfectly in my closet, but would be sweet in a 5x5 too. I was gonna get the X-500's.

I was super tempted a month ago when they had a big sale.

The Scorpion is an awesome light, however, unless you plant to run CO2 it might be overkill. I'm running mine in a 4x4 space open on 2 sides and I've dimmed it to 450 watts. I adjust the height by PAR readings, I try to keep the average PPF at the canopy in the 750 - 1000 range, which is the peak effective par level in a non CO@ enhanced garden. Also, at full power, HLG reccomemnd that the light be 18" from the top of the tent to prevent over heating. Dimmed to 500 watts or less this is not really an issue. At full power mine draws 751 watts!

To order an HLG Scorpion Diablo along with an AC infinity 5x5! I’m soooo close just a click away should I?!?! Convince meeeeee, here’s my current grow under my Mars Hydro
