My faith in Christ versus growing and smoking weed...

I have never felt my usage effected my realtionship with the Lord. According to God, there aren't levels of severity within sin, so for one Christian to tell another they are going to Hell for smoking pot is something that never once bothered me, knowing that we all sin.

This is why I stay away from church, and I just sit at home with my family and read the Bible together, discuss our thoughts on the subject, etc. Too much evil has grown within organized religion since the beginning and I have a hard time being a part of it. Besides, Christ never meant for "church" to be a building. The "church" is the body of Christ, his believers, walking his path as best they can knowing He will lead them to the Father. But now and for many centuries its been more of a way to control and tax people once more, and it's been disgustingly gruesome through so much if it all.

I dont think people realize that if Jesus were around today, He wouldn't vote Democrat, He wouldn't vote Republican.....he just wouldn't vote at all! But yet you have so many religions, "voting" in the name of God when He would never participate in our earthly elections. He'd offer up advice and words of wisdom, but He wouldn't cast a vote and force anyone to do anything. Think of how many Christians put people like us in prison with their beliefs and voting backing it up. They put their own brothers and sisters in prison and say it's in the name of God, when it's just their opinion locking many of their own up, keeping them from their own families and responsibilities.

I've changed my stance on many things over the years, even this year as well and continue to bounce things around in my head, because I just don't think trying to carve out of this world what we think God wanted it to be is anything like what we are suppose to be doing. I'm too the point of live and let live, follow the Lords path and take any who want to know Him along with you as well.

One of the only issues I can't get my head around is abortion. I just honestly believe that it has a soul at conception, and that life has begun. But how can I force that on my neighbor? Is it immoral to sit idle and do nothing, or is it immoral to force their hand? Not asking, just stating.

if you saw someone beating a child to death in the streets would you interfere?

if you saw someone beating a dog to death in the streets would you interfere?

if you saw someone beating a bacterial colony to death in the street would you interfere?

if you saw someone beating charlie manson to death in the street would you interfere?

it's all about choices. make your choice and stick with it. that's more than morality, it's ethics.

sin by biblical definition is transgression of gods law... god has only 10 laws.. man's laws are abundant... dont be decieved into thinking that any of mans laws apply to god... you dont need forgiveness from mans laws.. god does say if you love him, keep his commandments.. if you say you love him and dont keep his commandments he says your a liar and the truth isnt in you... are you forgiven for these transgression when they occur... absolutely... should you continue these transgressions.. absolutely not... god forbid paul says... in the begining, god drove man away from the tree of knowledge of good and evil... keep his commandments and he may bless you with the ability to do what you were created for... tending the tree of knowledge of good and evil... the state of michigan is allowing me to grow a tree of knowledge but i give thanks to god... just my 2sense...

This makes no engineering sense. The launch weight of a Shuttle was about two thousand tons. A 747 was just capable of transporting an empty 80-ton orbiter. It could not have hefted a full one, let alone with the necessary external tank. Nobody has ever built a "runway-to-orbit' vehicle, even a demonstrator, because of the punishing mass fraction (fuel/vehicle) needed to make orbital speed and altitude. cn
I fully rescind my shuttle statement. The sources I received this from is tv,and radio mostly in the preinternet days(lost). With nothing to back it up I will just provide factual drawing board only examples of the possibility of such a concept.

With the 747 space shuttle transporter it has a service altitude of 15,000ft.
A 747 has a certified commercial use altitude of 45,000ft.
The shuttle shuts down main engines at 116,000ft.

I will not go into skunkworks,or X projects not made public.I will mention 2 personal accounts of super conventional craft I have seen in the night sky. While driving thru a desert highway in the southwest I observed an aircrafts beacon (flashing red) go from horizon to horizon in 10 seconds.Just a roar afterwards with no boom.I estimated a 10,000 ft altitude, and a SW to NE direction.

Years earlier I observed what I thought was a satellite lit up from the sun being outside Earths shadow.I watched it go across the sky then come to a complete stop.Seconds later the object took off in a 90* angle of the original trajectory, then fade out of site. The shuttle cannot do this.

I still truely feel the shuttle program was just to pacify the masses from what is really goin on,and our capabilities behind closed doors.I rather be the janitor at the tourist food court on Mars, than what reality is shoved down my throat here on a daily basis.

R.I.P. Challenger,and Columbia crew.

The shuttle Enterprise was able to take off from the transporter, but never went into space.
The defuncted U.S.A.F. Dyna-Soar was concepted to be launched from a reausable launch vehicle.
The Virgin records guy used a plane to launch his tourist shuttle.

The tech is there. It is just watered down for you to choke on.

dalek do you really expect us to believe some being has created some aircraft that no one has written record or no one has seen.. maybe i dont have the faith for that... lol.. just kidding... actually christ said....
Jhn 18:36Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews : but now is my kingdom not from hence....

Coupla minor beefs. The SRBs hung on until about 146000 feet altitude, and the main engines fired all the way into space.

But your sightings intrigue me. This spring I saw a brilliant object in the early morning follow a track like you describe (for the first sighting). It was a meteor however, and a few minutes later the boom was so violent I thought some wingnut had driven a car into my house! Astronomers estimated the object to be a coupla meters across and weighing multiple tons. cn

Marijuana is a plant just like apples, bannanas, pairs, etc. It is grown naturally and was here before man, the only person here before man is GOD. This plant is from GOD just like the apple tree, no difference whatsoever

It was reason that enabled the invention of the Jesus myth and it is that very same reason that allows so-called Christians to commit whatever sins they wish without fear of mythical divine retribution. Indeed, I hold that it is the "all sins are forgiven" feature that has made Christianity as popular as it is today. Sin away, bitches! The "Ten Commandments" should be called the ten suggestions when one considers the actual operational methodology of the various Christian sects. "Sin" as they call it, has not in any way been marginalized; it is rather a very glamorous essential feature of the Christian nonsense.

As for anyone who believes that the human species will endure much longer, much less the amount of time required to reach the point when the sun will begin the supernova process by evaporating all water off the planet Earth, you have failed to recognize the way humans actually function. Let's pretend that we invent some spaceships that allow us to escape the Earth and live in space. It wouldn't take long before some dumbass accidentally pulls the plug that keeps the air in the ship. Think about it, we can barely survive on a planet that has everything we need in abundance. You think we have even a particle of a chance in the cold, unforgiving depths of space?

wow, that had to feel great getting off your chest... you've got to admit that its pretty comforting believing somewhere in that cold, unforgiving depths of space is a place thats warm and amazing.. maybe even streets of gold.. i believe the whole story.. maybe not in the context usually delivered though.. i do know that there's something inate within me that loves to grow trees... the story i get from my religion is i was created to tend a garden.. seems to fit there... my religion also justifies my sinful nature and my love for the tree of knowledge... this seems to fit me also... so i guess i'll just continue tending my garden of knowledge and believing thats what i was created for...

WOW!That is huge!!!!I witnessed a meteor that was estimated to be between the size of a grapefruit,or a basketball that burned up in the atmosphere. It was a fantastic display, with a wooshing sound.

Thanks for the shuttle rocket booster info.I was busy trying to figure out where I got the info long ago for my now rescinded statement.I just quickly referenced a launch vid where mission control broadcasted that main engines were cut off at the 22 mile mark.I did find a reference that the furthest a shuttle went was 250 mi for Hubble repair.I did see one the shuttles reenter once.It streaked briefly like a meteor..pretty cool.

I do not trust Bob Lazaar, but I do in believe in black projects.

Barely survive? There's 7 BILLION of us now, and our life span has tripled in just a few hundred years. 1/3 of the the planet lives in utter luxury (not having to worry about our next meal, clean drinking water, or which gov't will be in power the next day). I think we're doing fairly well as a species, jmo...

...hi. Actual Christianity, as well as all other faiths, do not 'use' God as an enabler of sin. People do that. Wait, intellectual animals do that.

We know that Jah created all seed bearing herb to be consumed by man. This teaching of the Bible is true whether people believe or not. It logically follows that cannabis is a seed bearing herb created by Jah to be consumed by mankind. Both the righteous and the wicked eat drink and smoke herb, but only the righteous shall know true happiness. As Bob Marley sang, the wicked "eat the bread of sorrow and drink the wine of sad tomorrow. They also hate Jah and his Word the Bible, which require that we treat others how we want to be treated. The heathen malign and defame the Most High who has created and given us this world, and then insist on a theory that the world, with its uncanny precision of timing and uber complicated processes, happened by accident and undirected processes. Some even insist that aliens terraformed the earth and transplanted us here. Seriously, isn't it easier to believe in Jah. Like Nas says, "never listen to snakes cause the word of man kills." Jah live man! Hail up to all the true Rasta and Christians! Pass the cup of peace and blaze up the herb therein! May King Jahshua, whom ye call Jesus, return quickly. One love CaseyJ, keep up the war to reach them, respect to you my fellow soldier.
you believe that your god created all seed bearing herbs for your use, you CLAIM it is true whether anybody else cares what you believe or not, you statement contains no logic to follow, therefore your point is moot.

the earth and all within it's sphere was crafted by Ard Rhionn, the Silver Wheel, shaper, crafter and artisan. her consort Cernnunos, Who Turns the Wheel gave the twin gifts of life and rebirth to all her first creations, each reproducing in it's own way. to man she gave the gift of intellect, and he the curse of introspection, then each returned to their own realm outside the sphere to watch their mutual creation unfold as chance wills.

my myths are better than yours. older too.

Man... in this day and age I can't believe that people still CLING to an idea that has no merritt. God, Christ, Ala or whatever you want to call him/her has been used to control the masses. All religons have used barbaric tatics to control population, Mass killings, the Crusades and suicide bombers are just a few things religon brings with it.

People(lemmings) get with the program, we are in a day and age that not only dis-prooved ALL religon but also know that when you die you go into the ground and become worm food...Thats it, nothing else.

Your only fooling yourself.

ALL religions do not indulge in violent evangelism, some do not indulge in evangelism at all.

further, you actually still believe that lemmings hurl themselves off cliffs? dude. that shit was disproved 40 years ago. the fucking pricks who claimed that, and filmed the "mass suicide" HURLED them off the cliff, because they were DICKS!

"Even more influential was the 1958 Disney film White Wilderness, which won an Academy Award for Documentary Feature, in which staged footage was shown with lemmings jumping into certain death after faked scenes of mass migration.[SUP][12][/SUP] A Canadian Broadcasting Corporation documentary, Cruel Camera, found the lemmings used for White Wilderness were flown from Hudson Bay to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where they did not jump off the cliff, but were in fact launched off the cliff using a turntable.[SUP][13]"[/SUP]
