you could just wire up the g2 socket bulbs and sockets to a piece of i hear you can get the 2 peices at 1$ per watt.

i wonder why the g2 led bulbs are cheaper than the e27?

yeah im just gonna forget bout those leds for now, ill look for something a little more balanced and not so deep blue that might be a bit much.

E27s are old tech. Lots of heat sink + a lot of analog parts from non-led tech. New tech has miniaturized the electronics, while significantly improving efficiency.

And within short order the 20w bulbs will be 40+ (1 bulb will take the place of 2)!

I feel bad for all the people buying > $400 led panels (especially R/B), but if you rely on others 'knowledge' without doing your homework (people are inherently lazy) then they get what they deserve.

Since it's a slow posting day, thought I would provide a photo update.

Due to height restrictions on my tent, I have decided next time I will use one small RM Roughneck tote per plant (large shoe box that I use for rooting clones). This will provide grat flexibility. I will use 2-4 oxystones per tote. If that doesn't provide sufficient bubbles I can employ the 70 L/M pump so I can use 4 stones per tote. But damn, that pump is noisy

Another good reason to get rid of cfls. I wonder if this is also true of hot5 and or HPS bulbs. One poster wrote that he had headaches with hps, but not with leds

A lot of the strobing depends on the ballast used to drive the lamps. For example, newer digital ballasts for Fluorescents are much better than the older analogs. I remember how old cheap shop lights always buzzed and flickered a lot.
I have seen a number of HPS pics that look like the lights are strobing. I'd imagine since CFLs are mass produced to be cheap, that they are worse than tube fluorescents.
I'm not really sure that the strobe effect is that big of a deal for the plant.

15W WW BR30 by Lighting Science @$15 - a decent deal? Got an email from 1000bulbs where they have them on sale.

^^Assuming Lowes/HD is close by, I would call to see whether the new CREES are in stock first (~ $10). Hurry though, sounds like the shelves are getting cleaned out of the initial run

I just completed a major cleaning. The lava rock does crumble a little, and enough had built up in the bottom that I decided to pull all the plants, to thoroughly clean now that I am in the final push. Also dumped the old, and started over with fresh nutes ~800ppm

she looks good PF! looking like an odd ball tho i see what you mean about the indica leaves more clearly now, but that structure is definitely sativa traits.

Yeah, I have seen this before, but the infrastructure is pure sat.
