my cfl set up question???

will a 125W blue florescent lamp be good for the very short vegetative stage of the auto flower?
and will a 200W red florescent lamp be good for the flowering stage?

and if so my last question is could i use the 200w red florescent lamp for the whole grow from veg to flower?

THANK YOU.

Are they actual watts or equivalent? And why does it have to be one or the other? I would use both. For an auto-flower, that should be sufficient for a decent harvest, but I would add some smaller cfls on the side for better light penetration.

You will be able to grow one with that much light. It would be better to have more sources of light with fewer watts per bulb so that you can maximize light to the canopy. As for your last question I would assume so because some people choose to veg under HPS which also provides more of a red spectrum HOWEVER you probably dont want to do this with cfl's because the plants will stretch more and produce more popcorn when they flower. Let a Baby chill under that blue lamp for a few weeks then throw in that red cfl, veg for a few more weeks and make the switch when you want keeping in mind that the plant will keep growing taller for 2 weeks after the flip.

EDIT: look into the growing style called Sea of Green

It had to be one or the other since my light reflector system only uses 1 bulb at a time n I'm not sure what I can use to put the 2nd lamp on the side please help?

Kinda like scotch's idea, why not put your blue on top, and surround with 5000k and 2700k CFL's on the sides?
Here's a pic of mine from last week.jan21pic7_zps51018f3e.jpg

There are these litter converter things you can plug into an outlet to make it hold a light bulb. You can rig up a little light fixture using some of these converters and a power strip. Keep in mind when you are thinking about how to position your cfls that they throw the most lumens off the side (not coming out of the top) and you will need some kind of reflectors to maximize how much bud you get for light invested.

PS to Bakatare666
Nice pic man. Is there anyway you could reposition those 8 lower bulbs so that they have the sides facing towards the plant | <==like that with a reflector behind it (made from a soda can)? You may be able to use your watts more efficiently :)

Thanks man, I also got that suggestion from somebody last night, but I have moved the fixtures up almost into the plant since the pic, was just waiting for the vertical stretch to quit, but I was thinking the upper side of the bulbs would cascade up into the lower sides of the stems, just been lazy to make more half cans.:?
