I think Chuck's problem is that he knows the moment he says we should change to Socialism or Communism he will be laughed off the forums. Thus he continuously dodges the question of a change to what, or challenges to his ability to name the system that he propagates.
Of course, he's right, the moment he identifies what he is preaching, I will start laughing, because it doesn't work, and will never work, because it denies individuality, and the very things that make people human.
Communism and Socialism are only good for Animals, not Humans. Humans must be free to express themselves, and to communicate. Our very existence is based on the creation of societies. If we stay isolated we go insane, there are exceptions like Chuck however, who probably should have isolated himself from the rest of Canada.

Good for you that you looked up how public vs. private education IN THE U.S. and proved me wrong but thats not the case in this glorious land we call Canada. Here, if you want to send your kid to private school you can expect to pay about 50,000 /year up to over 100,000 a year. The teachers even get paid more at the catholic schools than at our public schools.
And VTX I'm going to say this once more than we are done. I know something is wrong when i take a look around. You say you went to a private school so you are probably one of the luckier souls that had your parents to carry your sorry ass though life easy for you. Not everybody has that. Some people have seen sides to our country that you will only watch on television. Things you will never experience VTX.

Yeah, all of that and then some. Here's my stance for anyone interested. In a nutshell, I'm for people as opposed to corporations. You either like it or hate it, and I really dont care which. I'm for nationalized medical, energy, and anything that has to do with human interaction. I'm for capitalism if it is tempered with a touch of socialism. No more multi million dollar salaries or bonuses in a world of starvation and homelessness. People first. Some of these CEOs salaries or bonuses could have fed a whole country for a year or more.
