Med ... I've said it many times before in this forum: Life is an echo.

If everyone around you seems to have a negative attitude ... maybe the problem lies with you. I bet you've never considered that, have you?

Vi
thats funny, i was thinking the same thing about you!

but there is a difference.

People like you feel like it is their duty to hunt down people like me to shut down their ideas.

Everyone is either too ignorant to inderstand what im saying or too scared to agree because they wouldnt want to sound unpatriotic.

Oh well, as long as they waste their time posting against me they arent out prowling the forums looking to force their beliefs on people.

I'm not hunting you down. In fact I just wish you'd go away. And why is that, Chuck? Because you don't seem to understand that one can have a rational political debate or discussion without slinging insults.

People who post in this forum are NOT ignorant, as you say. The problem is, you are not expressing your ideas in a clear enough way for people to understand you. Seriously, you are all over the place.

Not scared to sound unpatriotic either. Hell man, we have discussed armed revolt in this forum.

Now, if you can refrain from the personal attacks, and maybe get a little sense of humor about yourself, perhaps you'd get much more friendly responses to your posts.

Buck up, we may disagree with some of your ideas, but we're not as bad as you may think.

you cannot debate, we have tried over and over again Vi. And posting nasty picture IS NOT debate. If you want to have a one on one I am game. But i do not apreciate when your minions jump in spouting off nonsense in an effort to look like a good citizen.

You may be an old man like you claim to be, but I have had way more experience in life then you will ever see.

No, some people understand what I am after. But they are too scared to post because there are too many of YOU's creeping around the political section waiting for someone to say something so you can jump on their back.

You are just too old for me to care Vi. if you are as old as you claim to be you were born in a shit generation. Right BEFORE the movement. You missed it I guess you could say. Too bad for you, maybe that is why you are an old grumpy man, who doesn't understand shit about equality.

You were brought up by racist, religious people who didn't believe women or Africans were equal to you. I know your generation Vi, and I know how they were brought up.
You are not fooling anyone.

I am not allowed to make personal attacks anymore. I got banned for that.
I just figure if i stoop to your low you will realize how ridiculous you sound and just fuck off. Guess I was wrong!

Buck up, we may disagree with some of your ideas, but we're not as bad as you may think.
I am still waiting for you to "buck up" on that abortion thread. I ended up unsubscribing because I was getting no intellect from anyone debating me. Oh well, maybe next abortion debate right?

Hey Chuck, I'm not afraid. I'm not that well versed on the constitution. I know the basics, but to come into the fray and argue for or against it, I'm not prepared. I will argue against ViRedds stance though, so you have an ally there. I believe the constitution needs to be modernized to work in this day and age. They didn't have a lot of the things we have when they laid out the law. Example: Credit cards. The basic premis of freedom is good, But the understanding of it may have changed. Like is it OK for the rich to steal from the poor? There may be need to put limits on certain freedoms.

I said most people Med. I know you are out there fighting a similar fight, I was simply stating that we do not gang up on people like the "others" do.

I make a thread about change and I get half a dozen flag waivers coming up on me to tell me my ideas are dumb and wrong and how i should stay in canada and the what-not. Its fucking lame. Like that lame-ass VTX who had the first post saying he would run against me and his campaign was to uphold the constitution.
How is this debate? You see I won't even talk to this tool because all he wants is for me to take time out and pick out every flaw WRITTEN in the constitution. But I don't need to. All i need to do is look around and I know that we need a change from that old dirty piece of paper.

People like Vi are so obsessed with making the economy better that they have lost true sight of what life means. they are so blinded by greed its pathetic.

Vi wants the economy to do well and for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer because in his job he takes a percentage of what the house sells for. So when the market is up houses sell for more thus making Vi take home more money. He is just pissed that he has to pay taxes on it. Little does he know that him paying taxes is the only way he is contributing to society. he should have to pay a lot of money. He went for greed instead of a REAL career that actually NEEDED to be done.
Jobs like health care, construction, education are the jobs that the employees or proprietor should not be taxed heavily because they are contributing to society with the work they do.

He doesnt care if poor people get poorer because most of them have to rent or live in government subsidized housing anyway. These people are no good to the wealthy. They dont matter because they dont give their money to people like Vi.

And unfortunately it's people who think like Vi, lawyers, executives, businessmen, politicians, who are running the country. And they just dont give a shit.

Why do we need to keep progressing our economy at such an unbelievable rate? You can only make the rich richer and the poor poorer for so long. And eventually you need to level it out, or we are going to end up like Mexico or some other shit-hole.

In the 90's our economy was doing great. And i wish we could have at that point gone "look, the economy doesn't really need to get better. We need to start leveling things out and spread the wealth to everyone. We are a prospering country and its time we start to use that to make the country a better place to live for EVERYONE.
I.E. It a damn shame that people can't even afford to have their houses fixed. So many are living in poor and dangerous living conditions because they just can't afford to hire a contractor. But if the government did something more to help either a. the contractor so that he/she can offer a lower rate or b. the common human to be able to afford the rising costs of labour and materials.

And its the same deal with health care. Common folk are staying sick because they can not afford to miss a day of work to pay to see the doc. That leaves people suffering when others are prospering.

Same for education. Less money is being put into the public education system which is forcing people to send their kids to private schools. And in doing so they are expanding the sector of privatized schooling where the teachers are paid more. So what "good" teacher would want to teach at a public school where all the kids are poor?

Its like the problem with Canadian doctors leaving to the U.S. to get paid more. We now have a shortage of doctors because they go for the greed and go to the U.S.

Privatization is destroying our economy. The rising cost of resources is destroying our economy. And what is being done about? Silly quick fixes and throwing money at the problem. The U.S. keeps getting themselves in deeper and deeper in debt.

We need a solution.

Evidenced by the $700,000,000,000 bailout that was just signed into law, it IS OK for the rich to steal from the poor. Here's a little challenge for you, Med ... try to find the constitutional authority for the bailout. When you find it, please cite the Article and Section. Thanks.

The Constitution is/was designed to protect us from a rampant, immoral, greedy federal government ... and also from ourselves. But, here we are, so far into debt, our great, great, great, great grandchildren will still be paying interest on this monstrosity.

the 700 billion bailout. Yet another example of throwing money at a problem. Why is bush doing this? So everyone can remember him as an idiot after he is gone?

Yup, clearly it was a shitty design.
Which is what I have been saying for quite some time now.

Time for a change.

Oh really?

Public school teachers are paid 61% more per hour than private school teachers, on average nationwide.
Civic Report 50 | How Much Are Public School Teachers Paid?

I went to a private school. I found out that my teachers were paid less than public school teachers. So, why did they teach at my school? Because we were there because we wanted to learn and they wanted to teach...not babysit. The degree of education I received at the private school was "head and shoulders" above what the public school system was promoting.

Back your shit up son...or concede. You still haven't proven the flaws in the Constitution.

everything you say is funny :D

thats why i normally dont respond.
Care to refute my argument regarding public school vs. private school pay Chuck? Or will you simply continue your inane ramblings backed with no factual/credible evidence?

refute?
argument?

ummm....

sure, I was wrong about that. Here in Canada it's the other way around and I thought it would make sense that the U.S. is the same. Woopdy doo, dont feel like you win or something, I just made a mistake. I never went to a private school when i was raised in the U.S. so I didnt know.

Private schools do have more funding though. That I'm sure of.

Chuck, with whatever respect is due you, maybe you should stay in Canada and keep your political postings to those that are pertinent to Canadians. Because you really don't see the cognitive dissonance demonstrated in your posts, and you clearly don't understand U.S. politics or policy.

Another suggestion; Do a little research before you toss out "firm" assertions. Of course, cognitive dissonance might make one unable to see the disconnect between assertions made and fact.
