Has anyone here had success with breeding a hybrid auto with a non auto and bred it out to get 100+ day autos? The goal of this is to get a higher yielding auto much like that of a photoperiod plant. There are already breeds such as "super automatic" and chaze which claims to have these properties. Have any of you bred this out and also I have read that crossing these two will result in virtually no autos in the f1 yet could there possibly be faster yielding regulars in the first batch? My goal is to cross the two (auto nl x critical mass) and choose the largest dankest phenos and then breed the f1s and hopefully find some super autos in that batch and stabilize the strain. Has anyone here done this and how many seeds did it take to find these super autos from the f2 batch?
I have read that colchicine has increased the growth and thc properties of the f1 by 20% yet it takes longer to finish. Has anyone used pharmaceutical grade colchicine on seeds and Grew them out or is it best to just spray a branch with colchicine and then hit it with colloidal silver and self that branch or pollinate a separate plant. Grow out the seeds and find the plant that has crazy thc production and use it for breeding purposes and or cloning? Has anyone tried this technique successfully?
I consider myself a breeder because I am not just chunking pollen. I have developed some great strains from regular poly hybrids as well as hybrids. But I'm having some issues stabilizing these strains without loss of vigor and without having to reintroduce new genetics or back crossing to maintain that vigor. Who here has successful f3 f4s that are stable? And what were your methods to stabilize your strain?
