My 84 yr old Grandma just started using cannabis!

Ok guys, I'm really sorry if this is to far from the scope of this forum, I don't think it is but I'm new to writing on forums. So with that said. Here's what went down.

Last week my mother called and told me that she had spoken to my grandma and that she had told her that she would be willing to try cannabis medicine to treat her lung cancer. This news made me elated because I have total faith in hemps ability to kill cancer cells. And now I finally get the green light to start treating my granny with this powerful medicine! I know it will change her life.

I love my granny, as most of us do, and I want her to be around for a long while, and when I had gotten the news that she had cancer I was crushed. I knew I was growing the cure for her, but she is a child of the "Reefer Madness" age and I just knew that getting her past the propaganda that she had been fed for so long was going to be the biggest hurdle, but I guess when one is faced with there own mortality they are willing to do whatever it takes.

Her only stipulations were that it had to be in capsules/edibles and it had to be a "strain for cancer". I was like wow mom, you really educated her on her options! Lol. So I made up some cannabutter using 112 grams of sugar-trim/lower buds to one pound of butter, I then put all but 8 tablespoons of the butter into 00 size capsules. After that I took four of the tablespoons of cannabutter and made some awesome pumpkin streusel muffins (from "Aunt Sandy's Medical Marijuana Cookbook").
And then yesterday morning I loaded up the family and made the 60 mile drive back to my hometown and granny's house. I went in and sat down, we started the normal small talk, and then the topic switched to why I was really there, to give my granny her very first experience with cannabis.

I read her an article off of a website about the most common questions seniors have about medical marijuana, then I let her watch Rick Simpson's video. Then I asked her to take a capsule if she was comfortable with it so that I could be there with her to monitor her just in case.
So then we sat and talked for an hour, and we laughed like we hadn't laughed in a long time. She was telling me stories from back in the day, like I didn't know my great-grandpa did a year in federal prison for making whiskey during prohibition, interesting.

Anyway, we where saying our good-byes and I was giving her a re-cap of the dosage instructions and she told me that if her blood pressure gets to low that she would stop taking her prescription blood pressure meds! I was blown away! All I had told her was to be mindful of her bp because of cannabis' natural action of lowering blood pressure. I didn't want to the two medicines when used together to drop her to low. I never said anything about stopping her prescriptions. So she is well on her way to getting better and has definitely changed her views on our favorite plant.

So it was a positive experience for her and I hope that she continues to be as happy as she was yesterday, everyday.

Time to start making your own oil. Mixing it with coconut oil helps ingestion. We also have good luck getting the seniors to drink teas and lemonaids.
Seach around for Cannatonic #4. 12-1 CBD over THC is a strain just for cancer.

Good luck

So does she vape? 'cause I'm traveling and if she wants to party a little, I'm in.

keep an eye out for valentinex. it will be making the rounds through Michigan soon. and should cost you very little if anything at all. highest cbd strain I know of at this point. and btw way I do an ounce of good trim to a lb of butter. I usually make 25mg dose cookies. but that's with non cbd meds.

Dankism, that's a great thing you're doing for your grandma. Much respect.

Hit me up if you're looking to get your hands on a cut of Valentinex. Free of charge. I'll be starting a thread here soon on these genetics to hopefully help everyone that's working with this strain avoid any set backs. 25% cbd, 1% thc. Truly good medicine.

Damn st0w, your a stand up dude. It's pretty amazing that Nathaniel Morris was able to breed a strain with a 25/1 CBD ratio. That man is truly changing the world in my opinion. Think of all the lives are going to be changed/saved by this strain and others like it.

theres a small group working on getting these cuts to those who need them. unfortunately the original number was fairly limited so it will take some time to get clones ready for the populace. I am hoping to have some cuts ready in a month or so. theres already a waiting list. there are stipulations on the cut though. it's a non-profit cut. and yes stOw is already doing some pretty remarkable things. I only hope to be helping some in the near future the way he already has been.

I agree with you on Nate. He's doing some great things out of the goodness of his heart, and is really sticking his neck out in the process. I'm just doing a small part in helping him. These high cbd genetics are medicine. I've seen this stuff literally change patients lives for the better. These genetics need to be spread far and wide. As Mr B pointed out, the only stipulation is that these cuts need to be given away. This is strictly not-for-profit.

Nate is continuing to work this strain trying to further isolate the cbd, and has promised to get any new and improved versions out to us. He's anticipating closer to 30% cbd with his next run. Exciting stuff!

awesome stuff st0w, and your exactly right, anyone who would charge for cuts of these strains is a complete asshole with no real concern for helping others.

Remind Nana that this is a gateway drug per Ronnie. Maybe ask her what color crack pipe she wants.
