my 2 litre pop bottle plant - massive buddage - day 50

ok so i started this one lady out in a 2 litre pop bottle despite everyone telling me i aint gonna yeild much, well here she is after 50 days in flower (still a week or 2 left)

vegd for 2 weeks, organic nutes only, in a 2 litre soda bottle with normal compost from home depot so nothing special.

bear in mind this was just a practice grow with one plant in the soda bottle to see what i can yeild,. i can fit like 59 bottles in my closet, whereas i can only fit 5-8 three gal pots!

i reckon i got at at least 1 ounce dry out of this baby, offcourse if i did start doing 50 of these id yeild less per plant due to light but i would offcourse increase this to more like 1200w of cfl.

currently this baby is under 375w of red spectrum cfls, just 2 envirolights either side.

Very nice. I might be interested in trying this in my CFL closet setup. I use home depot brand buckets with holes drilled in the bottom, sitting in a round plastic trays. Space has always been an issue, because I can only fit 3 of those buckets in there at max.

ya looks good, i heard NL was 45 day though, is that not right? or is it gonna take a bit longer cause the CFL's?
i have a buddy that uses 2 liter bottles , he drilled holes in a pvp pipe that those bottles perfectly screw into, and then he floods the pvc and it goes up the bottles some then drains it. it's pretty slick cheap setup..

looks pretty neat but I think you'll be a little short of an oz when all dried and cured. None the less, nice job and way to maximize the use of space.

yeh think iv seen pics of that setup, very nice indeed.

yeh normally NL should be done 45-50 days but using cfl always put u back a couple of weeks as the light doesnt penetrate as well as an hps.

next time round im gonna do like 50 ladys in my closet, even if i get half o each plant id be happy with that for a closet grow.

The only thing is that I was alwas under the impression that CFL grows are meant to be small so that less lights are needed. If you are trying to get 1200 actual watts of any kind of indoor light I would say it would be much less expensive to use HID lighting. If you are going for 1200w equivalents then I have to say that you could get like 4 of those 65w cfl's from home depot, but I got mine at lowe's. Around here they are about $20 each and they have an amazing area of effect. Good luck!
