I live in Atlanta GA its mid jan right now. i plan on growing this season outdoors and need to know a couple things.

1. What is a good organic soil

2. i will be growing these plants inside pots that then have trash bags around them (not rooted into ground encase i need to pick up and leave) Should I cut holes in the bottom of bags to let water run out?

3. how many units (gallons etc.) per 2-3 days should i give each plant

4. When i buy the soil is the Ph lvl already good to go or what should i do to put it in range?

5. FIRST TIME IF I DIDNT ASK A QUESTION YOU THINK I SHOULD KNOW THE ANSWER TO LEAVE TIPS PLEASE AND THANK YOU :):joint::joint::joint::joint::joint:

Soil ph should be at 6.5-7.0 using 7.0 water duing early stages of plants life... maybe 4 weeks then ph down to 6.3-6.5.

In soil you want to maximize root growth so restricting wont help... cut holes so water runs out and roots get to grow..

Soil is easy to overwater so you must find out what your plant likes.

When i was growing soil.. I let the plant droop slightly letting me know it needed water.. then i would water the entire pot till it got dry again.

Don't use fertilizer yet... get your plants atleast a foot tall then start using nutes at low dosages...growing outdoors is not as easy as you think :(

Best soil so far from my experience is from FOXFARM. good nuetral ph soil.. nothing to worry about. Just buy and use.

Goodluck!

Hi Heady,

...i'm new to indoor gardening too, but i've been reading a bunch on Garden's Cure and it seems that most people using soil like Fox Farm Ocean Forest (it's organic).

...hope this help.
