Every flowering female should develop 'seed pods' or "calyxes" that would produce seeds only if pollinated...you're fine as long as there isn't any pollen around...nanners r a different story..

I don't see anything that indicates it's a hermie. I do see what may give the wrong impression, which is those frostless calyxes. I had that on a plant (ICE) earlier this year. Looks like undeveloped seeds but are calyxes with no trichomes on them. I bet it won't smell very strong. Anyway, as long as the calyxes include pistils (the white hairs coming out of them) you don't have to worry about it being a hermie.

I've checked pictures of hermie online and don't see any nanners or balls like the pics had. So I'm hoping sativied is right! Still need to check those pods later tonight.

Thanks for your input! Already made my day Lol. This is my 3rd plant and definitely not as frosty as the others. And yeah it doesn't smell strong at all. So I still want to open a seed pod just to see. Would something be inside it or just empty? I remember in the past I had a plant and opened a pod and saw a mini ball but there were very few of pods compared to this plant. Its 9 weeks and I want to push it to 11.

If the pistils that come out of it are white it's definitely empty. Well, not empty, it's not like they are really hollow if no seed is in it. It would require the pistil to capture a pollen grain to make a seed. The pistils turns brownish if that happened (over 24-48 hours).

if you actually popped it open what should it look like without pollination? white "seed" ?

They aren't immature seeds. Seeds are inside a calyx which slowly crack open, seeds don't grow naked on the plant and don't grow pistils out of them

No, there's no immature seed that needs sperm to grow or something (animal-like) like that. It's mostly just bracts, leaves mutated throughout evolution to protect the female sex organs and seeds. They swell up making room for the seed if one develops in it (and that stops the development of some calyxes around it, to make room).

Dicot seed development:

(^^ Cool huh) Another one:

I don't know if the zygote is in the calyx already. If it is, you won't find it with the naked eye. Perhaps if you slice one open and put it under a microscope. If you pop it with your fingers it will just be like leaves and moist.

It think it's poor genetics above all but have no idea how those smooth-skinned frostless calyxes develop. Perhaps it's a mutation that causes a layer of the seed to develop without pollination and it still sort of is half a seed (it won't develop into something hard and crackle when smoking though). Is it missing the outer layer on which the trichomes normally develop, or is it just missing the trichomes. My plant was hard to provide with the proper nutrients, perhaps that plays a role too.

Not the best pic,but same thing, ICE. They look very much like naked undeveloped seed, but they aren't.

Also ICE, but successfully pollinated bud, i.e. seeded:

nice post, i have split open a fair few colas over the years convinced i would find seeds inside .. but no seeds, some plants just have that look
where the calyx look dry and solid bulging out of colas similar looking to plant that is seeded
