MY 1st closet grow

then again i gave some thought into it and i think i am just feeling the impact of only getting 2 females out of the last grow. So i should logically get 6-8 fem seeds to harvest with this 400hps and then see. i should harvest plenty for personal use with that. I calculated the cost to upgrade and i really dont know if i will notice that much of a difference given my knowledge of growing which isnt that broad yet and the other issues that may arise with a more powerful light. I think the best move would be to stick with what i have and get better at what i do for now then upgrade. plus there are gonna be a ton of changes in the next 12 months so i dont know where I will be growing. I WILL EXPLAIN SOON;-) but i gotta tell you its a huge thing that i recently found out is going to happen to me.

By the way i just rolled a blunt of my bub buds and got a lil nestolgic, like damn when this ounce is gone no more bubbilicious, i have seeds but that is a long 3 months lets face it. i am saving an eigth so that one day i will store a vast variety of different strains. thought that would be cool.

So is that bub some righteous smoke or what? I just started germing my next batch. Bubblicious, Super Skunk, and Jock Horror. I might have mentioned it before but it took a while to actually happen. I only have room for two of each but I'm really hoping for a bub female. That would be awesome.

I have eight HUMONGOUS plants under a 400 watt HPS right now and they seem to be doing great ~5 weeks flower. Use the 400 watter to help you "save" up enough to comfortably buy the 600. That's what I'm doing except instead of upgrading I'm adding... 600 + 400:fire:

nice! yeah that bub is amazing, such a great chill smoke. Tastes so sweat and finishes smooth, I would recomend it to anyone. Now I am waitin on my Kush to finish,lol.

awww man! I am pretty frustrated right now, i ordered 20 lowryder2x AK47 feminised autoflowering seeds about two weeks ago from Dope-seeds.com. Well I just got 20 seeds from them today,only problem is they are 20 AK47 auto regular not feminised seeds. BRUTAL! sucks when you pay more for something and end up with less. The delivery was great, they give you detailed cards that are attached to each lil bag.I emailed them so hopefully they resend me some or something:-( Sorry if i sound like a big baby right now lol, but i was really looking forward to getting more ladies in the next grows.

yeah i am pissed, now i am back to square one on an auto-flowering feminised strain:-( dope seeds was the only one I knew of, and they are yet to return my email. I'll give it a day then forget about it and look to grow 20 of the ones i have and hopefully I can get a good enough female/male ratio this time.

that sucks about your seeds. I know Jim (dope-seeds) always writes back..give him a day or two. he's always been good to us. :)

yeah i think jim is great, and he did get back to me once before on a question i had. He hasnt gotten back to me yet on this last email, hopefully he does soon. i know there isnt much he will be able to do as far as me mailing back the wrong seeds. But i was hoping he could hook me up on my next order and i will just roll with these 20 auto flowering AK's and hopefully get enough females out of it.

jim got back and said If i want to grow the 20 seeds I have, just go ahead and if I dont get atleast 10 females he will replace them with feminised. So that works out pretty good. i originally ordered 10 feminised but got 20 refular so if i get lucky enough to get more than 10 out of the 20 to be fem, then they are freebies.LOL now lets hop my luck changes

Ive been goin thru these forums for the past 3 weeks since Ive taken to the idea of DIY or should I say GIY.

WOW I finally found a person with the same issue. I made a test batch in an identical container as my res. And if I were to use the recommended dose it brings it WAYYYY past.....like 2100. Im like WTF.

blinkykush Props to your crops bro. Youve made me feel a bit more confedent in my furture venture. Ive had some ups some downs on my first project...HUGE learning curve, but its all good.

thanks a lot guys, I love growing but i am no where near as good as I thrive to one day be. Just gotta adjust and try different things that work better for you. I ended up controlling my ppm a lot better when i took the advice given to me by BONZ, and i tested my ppm only after i add my nutes before i added organics(nutes like big bloom, or molassis) these are organic thus dont really matter how much they spike the ppm. I used to test the ppm with everything in it so i would get a crazy number like 1900ppm, and be like wtf i only put 1 teaspoon of tiger bloom in. So try to get the ppm right with your veg or bloom nute first then add extras that are organic.

actualy i ph after i add everything.
my bloom, liquid karma and cal mag then i ph it. then check my ppm then add my molasses. then check ppm again and no ph adjusting after molasses for me.
then i feed it to them
you got high ppm probably because you were using fox farm. it is strong. thats why i see lots of noobs burning with it.
i get to about 2000 ppm also with mine but organics are harder to burn

Blinkykush, thanks for a great grow thread and all those pics. So sorry to hear of the low female ratio and stuff up with your new seed order. I'm ordering from Attitude and HGS and see how it goes. I'm a newbie to indoor growing (well I did grow once in a cupboard when living with mum over 20 years ago LOL ), and have one bagseed plant under CFLs at the moment. If Karma plays out well you should get more ladies this time around. I'm praying for ya too.....thanks again. :bigjoint:

BONZ, thats what i was getting at with ppm. you suggested to me totest my ppm with only my fox farm nutes added w/out the molassis and other organic nutes. It helped me get the accurate reading on how much of the nutes that could be harmful was actually in the feed. when i tested it with everything in it(molassas,grow big etc,big bloom) I was unable to get accurate levels b/c molassas will spike ppm way up. but anyway it helped me out.

by the way check this article out kind of interesting. But yeah they are right keep it illegal;-) NOT! dumb ass conservatives. Marijuana Ingredients May Fight MRSA

Thanks for stopping by Maryjane, and welcome:-) here are some update photos of my 2 plants in flowering(Kush,BC Mango) i gotta say the 2nd photo of the BC is awesome to me. I am looking to harvest the Kush around the 13th give more likely than take. The last pic you will notice my most recent delema, It is a phot of my snow white fem seeds, the 5 are working on their 3rd week and have barely grown at all:-( I dont get it humidity seems good, temp,ph they just are frozen and never really ever had a decent spurt. i am just gonna be patient with this strain and research it. Alright all take care
