Whoa whoa, just a minute. Those EZ grow kits DO work, it's what I use if I want to grow mushies. They always work very well for me, and from the 120 kit, you can grow about an ounce.

Now keep in mind my perspective: I DO NOT trip my balls off on shrooms every weekend, all year long. I also DO NOT sell these things as "supplemental income". That being said, these EZ kits fit the bill perfectly for me. They grow enough shrooms for me and my wife, and its enough to last us a year. I usually end up just giving some away to a couple close friends that like to trip too. Also bear in mind how SIMPLE these EZ kits are to use. A five year old could do it, more than anything, you just need patience. It takes 2-3 months, start to finish.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a large yeild, or a perpetual harvest of shrooms, then the PF tek method is something you would want to read up on. Personally I have never done it this way, like I said earlier, I have no need to. I am perfectly content tripping 4-5 times a year, and thats it. So for me, d!ckin around with a pressure cooker (~$80 btw) and the sterilization bullsh!t, is just dumbness that I don't need any of.

just my .02 :blsmoke:

And why the HELL do people insist on resurrecting old threads, not once but twice? This thread is like 2 years old! Can't people start their own new thread stating their question? It drives me up the wall when I see this.......lol

I understand why you think that it doesn't yeild much. The pic is a little decieving, but these shroom kits usually have 2-4 flushes. From my experience, I usually get 2 REALLY good flushes, 1 so-so flush, then a few smaller stragglers at the end. All in all, I think it is good value for the money. Truth be told, if you REALLY wanted to, you could sell a couple 1/8's and make most of your money back anyways.

Haha its funny really, my wife's dad also uses these kits. He's actually the one who turned me on to them, and he's also the source of the shrooms I first tripped on. :blsmoke:

A pressure cooker is not necessary with the pf tek. It's only required with grains, rye, etc. All you need is a pot with a little water and a lid. The reason I have never opted for kits is mainly because they are terribly cost ineffective and I enjoy the process of growing mushrooms. I can take a few colonized pf tek jars and crumble them on some horse poo and get 1-2oz a flush off a monotub.

Around me, an 1/8th of shrooms is usually $30. I spend 120 for the EZ Grow kit, sell 4 eighths for 30 a piece, and I make my money back. Anything over that is profit, or in my case, shrooms in my pocket. And I still get to enjoy watching them grow. :hump: But hey, to each his own. :)
