hey whats goin on duders... i recently cased some wbs and put it in my fruiting chamber...my question is how long till pinning. i got awesome humidity, and i fan the box as much as a can a day, maybe 4 times. my question is about lighting...i know the myclium needs light to no which way to grow but besides that how much u need it?? i also hear u shouldnt have more than a few hours of direct sunlight on it. i been maybe givin it an hour or two of light, just wondering if i should do more of that, cuz besides that i am doin precisely whatya needa do for good pinning. and advice, tips or experience would be swaa weeet. thanks

I heard somewhere that a good light cycle is a hour of light every 5 hours, and a 27w cfl or a 60w incandecent 1 or 2 of those lights use your judgement, but remember these are mushrooms they like dark damp places dont use overpowering lights

thanks man
ya thats what im saying, and i read if ya can see the casing ya got enuf light..so i didnt wanna overpower them, but they respondin nicely to gettin maybe 4 hours of light, from cfl a day. they starting to pin, the primordia showin up, just taking longer than i thought.
but one of the bigggest things ive learned from this is to be patient.

Mushroom cultivation is the most time consuming thing you could choose to do.

Peramerters inside your fruiting chamber is more important than the light. Mushrooms are not photosynthetic, but they are photosensitive. They just need the light to tell them to grow. The light doesnt tell them to grow up, gravity does that.

You never want to give them direct sunlight, only ambient light (the reflection of light off of objects). Just leave them in a closet, and open it 3 times a day to fan the fruiting chamber, and mist the cakes, or logs(whichever tek you're doing).

Have been doing this for about the past 9 months. Sorry I did not see this sooner. You are almost there. I usually used a 12/12 light cycle, while fruiting. Got great results, take a look and tell me what you think....
