heres some pics of my op, its down to 10 plants from 12 now ( i had to cut out 2 hollends hope hermis) the plants should have about a week left in them. the lighting is 3kw hps and 1kw MH. it was 5kw total 3hps and 2 MH but when i cut down the hermi's i cut off the light above the gap. and yes not all of the plants are in a screen, i left 4 plants out to grow like i normally would as a test. my results show me that while the screen was more effort upfront it was less work the the other plants to maintain and the plants in the screen are going to yield much more without any question about it. im talking 2x or so more by the looks of it. i may never leave a scrog grow style

what i have left is queen, agent orange, super skunk, sour strawberry kush, af-crystal (army friend smuggled seeds back in his belt from afganistan and named it) purple urkle, and power kush.

power kush, sour strawberry, and agent orange are the highest yielding. i have grown power kush and sour strawberry before and know they are great, the agent orange smells amazing and the sample buds of it i have tested are smooth and taste like orange cream.

next run will start in a few weeks and will include my cuts of sour strawberry kush, power kush, and i planted 26 sour bubble seeds. i have grown sour bubble in the past and it has always been a fav of anyone who has sampled it, but the yield made it hard to justify. these are seeds that came about from a huge fast growing purple sourbubble male that seeded my sourbubble female. i will kill all but the best few seedlings hoping for those freakishly fast growing traits of the father to show up in a female. :weed:

looks good i never have tried scrog i dont really understand it i gues.
it just keeps plants from getting to tall how does it help yield?

it helps the plants not get too tall but what it really does is when you bend the branches over the lower nugs are no longer shaded and they all grow in a sheet. the nugs are all uniform and each plant looks like it has dozens of tops as opposed to my other plants that i did not put in a scrog that need a lot of support from bamboo and only have 4-8 tops. the screen holds up all the branches and i think the plants buds grow bigger because they dont have to work as hard, or maybe its because of getting so much more light, one way or another the average bud on my scrogged plants are 3x the size of the average bud on my normal plants. scrog has just compleatly won me over and nothing i read could convince me until i did the side by side for myself.
