Multi-generation cloning

What is the rule of thumb with regards to a constant cycle of cloning? I am on my 3rd generation and still is very potent. Genetics I am sure play a significant role with this.

Thoughts?

Genetics are everything in this regard. I have a clone going that has been running for 18 months of Bubba Kush pre '98. I grow out a plant, take a clone and then flower the plant. Grow up the clone and do it again.

Some strains do well and don't lose potency. Others may stay potent while starting to grow more and more mutated. Others just don't do well right from the start of cloning.

i have had clones muttate and start growing 1 single fan leave and lost a lot of potince and i had to grow that plant up really big and heathy and take a clone from the top and then do the same to the clone and just keep doing that intell the genetices and potince come back its a pain in the ass and takes for ever it would just be way easyer to just go and get some new seed

you can bring em back from the one leaf stage hormonal imbalance, genetic mutations can occur if kept in this state meaning it can become permanent along with other small and big changes keep them in good health and they will recover and can go on for decades
