Hi, I am currently a medical patient in California, but will likely be moving to Reno for 2 years of college in the fall. I am diagnosed with insomnia and ADD, and would like to know how to become a patient in Reno. Please help me find how to do this.

You dont qualify in Nevada based on insomnia. They have statute specific diseases. norml.org for laws in each state.

I actually live in Las Vegas NV and I'm currently in the process of getting my medical for Nevada. The cheapest I could find out here was through a newly opened local Dispensary called "The Happiness Consultants" the total cost was $360! Which is way better then Dr.Reffers price of $500 and diversity price is not actually $420...it cost that much to just start the process then another $100 at the DMV to finish the process with a grand total of $520!!!! the only thing with Diversity is that I hear their process is very quick!!! taking anywhere from 2 to 14 day depending on the waiting list. With the Happiness Consultants price only being $360 it does take over a month to finish the process! And their process was to go to their office and pay $50 dollars on a money order, then you fill out a form and they take down your number down and from there it take just over 3 weeks or so to get the paperwork to take to the doctor from the the states offices in Carson City NV which will have your name on it. I'm currently week into those three weeks I have to wait for my paperwork to come back. Then the rest of the process I was told goes like this still unsure to how it really is like but after the waiting is over the office of the HC calls you to come down to the office, I assume that day they call and then from there they take you to their chosen doctors office and then you are charged a exam fee of $150 then from there you receive the doctors approval paper that need to be notarized which cost $5 per page and you have 2 that need to be done so its $10 total for that then when you go down to the DMV which I assume will be within a few days after your exam. It will cost $150 at the DMV which includes getting your picture taken for the card. So I know that is the cheapest in vegas but im unsure about Reno so I would say you should see if theres any Dispensaries in Reno onhttp://legalmarijuanadispensary.com/ and if so give them a call and see what they say the best way to get it done in Reno is!

They just started to open a few! Its up to 4 now! they are all east of the strip in random areas! hopefully there will be more soon! :) the prices are the same as street value in some cases but for really good quality buds. and they do have a lot to chose from but it all depends on the dispensary. I plan to visit all four the first couple of days after I get my medical card! Just to see what Nevada is working with. haha
