moving from 12/12 to 24/0 during flowering.

Will moving an auto flower from 12/12 to 24 hr cause a hermie?

I have read up on Auto flowers and understand their ideal light schedule is 12/4 or 12/6. I understand that they never need to be on a dark schedule and will flower no matter the light schedule.

I understand that putting an Auto in 12/12 may reduce the final "yield"

I understand all that. But I imagine that auto flowers can stress like photo plants and through stress can hermie. If I say, need to make room in a flowering tent, would moving an auto from 12/12 to 24/0 massively stress out the plant?

Any experienced growers try this?

Thanks for any help

It might hermie regardless. Do whatever you want it's just a plant.

Each autoflower strain is different but in general the best light schedules are 18/6 and 20/4 but you can also run 24/0 and the sooner you move from 12/12 to 24/0 the better because giving autoflowers only 12 hours of light a day can greatly diminish their yield potential.
