Out in the back the other day and noticed this beautiful moss and it hit me why not use Moss as a cover crop.?! Just like the Forest does. I immediately transplanted inside, but died next day.

Anyone have any experience with this? I think it could be done just needs to be controlled more...

I used redwood tree moss for a couple yrs, it works well on keeping moisture in, but doesn't like the light, nor does it like the soil.
problem is that it grows on wood, not soil.
I'd use some sort of clover over moss.
but I don't use cover crops inside

One piece of advise...I always cover up my pots with moss to keep prying eyes from spotting them...until one day I laid some moss over the freshly dug holes to cover the fresh dirt and keep it moist cause it was 100+ that week....well those plant were fucking ate all to shit withing two days ...Ithey were the jnly Ines I had time to cover that day Tha k god...after closer inspection of the moss the shit was polluted ...and I absolutely meen polluted with bugs...little fuckers ...they went to town one my plants ts...one died the other lived but was stunted from all the damage....so inspect the moss with microscope or magnifing glass before u putting g it around ur shit.....
