Mosquito dunks for fungus gnats question

I have a pretty aggressive Gnat infestation in FF Ocean Forest soil. 9 plants week 6 of flower. 3 gallon grow bags. I bought some Mosquito Dunks and am gonna water with a mixture of dunks and water next watering - in a day or 2.

Can anyone tell me how best to mix these dunks up for killing gnat population? Like how many dunks per gallon of water? I usually give each plant about a quart of water per watering. Am using sticky traps to catch the flying gnats and am catching a lot of adults. Gotta get the larvae!

1 dunk tied up in pantyhose crushed per 5 gallon bucket, leave it in the water overnight and it will do genocide to your buggy friends.

But i have found if you have any weakness in your strain (i.e Hermie flowers) it will bring it out if you use it every watering.

does it work? have you tried putting sand at the top of the soil?
