Monster cropping

For those that have tried out the monster cropping method- when taking your clones does it matter if you pull a small branch off the bottom as opposed to a top?
I took a few progressively up the plant though avoided cutting any tops ( just sort of heartbreaking to do so ).
In a nutshell- will small branches from lower on the plant produce the same characteristics as opposed to taking a vigorous top branch?
Hopefully this makes sense ( I’ve been drinking )

Doesn’t matter much where cuts were taken from. Some growers say the bottom branches are easier to root out because they have more natural root hormones or some shit like that but in my experience I see no difference. Tops are nice to use as cuttings because they usually have a good plant structure already. Just easier to LST.
Yes no matter where you take the cuts from they will be identical to the mother plant. When you say the “monster crop method” do you mean you are planning to flip the clones after they root to ensure they are girls or are you planning to flip the plants, reveg, and then re-flip them for monster size buds?

After flipping to flower I decided I wanted to run clones on the next cycle so after some research I decided to try “monster cropping”. I pulled a few smaller branches off the lower canopy and am in the process of getting them to root. The overall plan is to get them to reveg and create a mother plant that I can pull clones off of. Pulled them around week 4 of flower

I used to take clones in week 3 of flower, always took from lower. They take a while to get going in veg, not worth it imho. Still fun to play with though

No , I don’t think it’s going to matter were you choose from.

It shouldnt mater were on the plant you take the cutting from. But if you want to monster crop good its always best to take snip in a place there are buds developing, as sometimes earlier on in flower the uper plant is all flowering and the very bottom shaded branches have yet to catch up and wont have flowers. So to take full advantage of the m,c tech use the branches actualy flowering . If your bottom branches are showing flowering too you should be good

Definitely seem to take a while… in the future I’ll make sure to take some from every plant while they’re still in veg. Two that I took maybe a week and a half ago still very much look alive but zero roots showing. One that I took a bit earlier in flower is showing solid roots though hasn’t done anything towards new leaf growth

Why would that matter?

After roots made it to water it slowly got its colour and growth immediately started.
It bushed similar for a good two weeks on 18-6 then it finally has come out and staring to full veg again.
With rooting 6 weeks.
