I use a tablespoon of molasses per gallon of water mixed with my grow big fox farms and water it with that and it works great. The buds started getting a sweeter smell within the first watering

i got use 1 tbl spoon of black strap molasses per gallon of water ...Molasses! The “Super Plant Carb!” read this http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/202743-molasses-our-plants.html
more like "molasses! the super bacteria culture solution and sticky sweet bug attractor."
the answer shoud be no never. the molasses is only broken down by bacteria in soil whether they are good or bad bacteria. not too mention i bet aphids an gnats would loe some desert after chompin on your buds, most of the microbes you will get are in Flora micro any way. why risk it with extra "remedies?"
now begins all the molasses lovin growers battering me with the your ignorant stfu comments. it has neer helped me tried it on 2 of 4 on two soil runs an nothing good came from molasses

well decided not to use black strap molasses or any sugar additive this last time because couldn't drive to town, and shit if i never noticed even the slightest of difference,i could of swore by it,but now its one less thing im going to buy,but maybe i try a test to see.but honestly couldnt tell a differance.

Alright guys lets be realisitic. Molasses will NEVER produce notice difference in physical bud growth particularly when you are growing your plants with other products like foxfarm. Actual plant food gives ratios like 4-6-4 and Molasses gives something like .5-1.5 (those numbers may not be 100% right cause im sitting on my couch and too stoned to get up and look at my molasses and plant food) but my point is that obviously the molasses is not giving enough nutrients to make a noticeable difference compared to the plant food.

Now that being said Molasses will give your buds a sweeter smell and taste that will stay through curing. It also cost about $2 for a bottle instead of $20 like normal plant foods, its 100% organic, and its not sketch to buy it. So with those facts taken into account I use it and love it as a supplement to other plant foods.

Finally if you look at a lot of bloom boosting products they are either molasses based or at least contain molasses and cost $20 instead of $2....
