Mold Mites/Bulb Mites — HELP

So, I’m 3 weeks into my first grow and .... I have found out I have mold/bulb mites. I’m thinking forget the plants at this point... scrap it and clean EVERYTHING. Does anyone have any experience specifically with bulb mites that you can share with me?

Probably the best bet.

It depends which type you have.


Bulb mites do eat plant varieties.

Mould mites are detrivorous so only feed on decaying matter.

Good identification is key using a good a close up apparatus such as a microscope attachment for your phone camera.

Look at the differences between the two types of mites.

Bulb mites seem to have a speckled dot/dots on their backs and darker looking front part to their “head” and front legs.

Mould mites are more white in comparison with long hairs protruding off their body.
