Molasses spray?

i just read sumthing off of an organic fertilizer web site, it was tlking about molasses and wut it does for the soil yada yada yada then it was talking about putting it in a spray bottle and applying to the whole plant?????? this doesnt sound right to me.does anyone kno more about this?

I don't think molasses will help with anything. Color me skeptical.

Molasses does have some NPK but what about the residual sugars left on the leaf.

I think there are better things for this kind of application.
