molasses help?

can anyone tell me what the deal with it is? is it truely that effective or what? how much should i use? how often? all good answers or links to thread thatll help will recieve +rep.

Using molasses, specifically blackstrap molasses, helps feed the microorganisms that live in your soil. When they multiply, they somehow help the plants roots process nutrients more effeciently. It also is supposed to make a sweeter taste to your bud.

I am using molasses right now for the first time, and I put about one Tablespoon in every gallon of water I use. I only use it about every other watering, you don't want too many sugars in your soil or you might attract ants and other insects.

When I mix it up, I microwave a little bit of the water first, then mix the molasses in it, THEN dump that into the balance of the gallon of water. It mixes much easier doing it this way.
