I was using the trays to harvest - after 20 loads I realized I needed to use the totes! The trim is in a Cardboard box now that is lined with a bed sheet that is suspended and does not quite touch the bottom of the box. I will be finishing the trim job on these tonight in front of the tele. Then they will go in a bed sheet hanging from the ceiling.

Hi All,

OK - tip - do not wait a day to trim bud - it gets all soggy and it is like trying to trim a ball of spaghetti! It was ok though, most of these were smaller than a walnut and just got shredded for the hash trim mix. Walnuts and bigger went in the hanging tapestry for drying in a warm dry room and ceiling fans on medium speed. Still have half a box of the trim that needs to be finished tonight and then I will start taking fresh again in smaller batches :)

The Big clone is still slowly adding weight so I may let the remainder go a little longer but the rain is coming. I can cover her from the rain. It is 80 degrees and sunny today and has been hot and dry the last three days with nights in the 40s to 50s.

You can tell that the cold weather is changing the growth because all of the new hairs that are showing are short and tight.

The WOG is still very green with clear trichs and the big colas are stating to fall over. One was so heavy it broke the branch! I tied it up and I need to do a little more tying in the center. Most of the big colas around the outside are supported by netting. It will be interesting to see what happens when it rains tomorrow!

Cheers,
Mo

It rained on Saturday Nov 17th and the WOG held up fine with all of the netting support. The Ugly Reveg clone did not fare so well. It was completely bent over like a LordJin model :) Unfortunately it was not only bent, it was also broken. That meant I had to do some harvesting and it is why I have been so busy all weekend.

I know we need rain but I wish it would hold off another week or so til my final harvest. The thought of my PUrkle and Purple OG getting wet and top heavy is almost too much this first time grower.

@S'Manta - You should have seen me out there trying to shore those plants up in the rain. All I could smell was trichome goodness being washed off of the plants that I had been lovingly tending since April!

I showed my early cut popcorn buds to a patient and he said "that has a lot of crystals for outdoor" and I was surprised by this. SoCal gets a ton of sun and grows some great outdoor. People here have been growing in their backyards since the 50's! There are some great heirloom strains here and I am going to hunt some of the old ones down and grow them. My MrGoo from last year was amazing and smelled like chocolate and coffee on the plant and smelled like grapes in the jar. It was from gifted seeds and that farmer moved away so I do not know where to get more. I might try some local clones to see what I like.

Here are the pics of the seeds:

Smoke Report:

This is from a ground up early bud jarred for three weeks, then machine-rolled as a bomber doobie, rolled two weeks ago for a patient who was overwhelmed and we stopped. I next had a couple hits from it on Thanksgiving and had a great time! No migraine (which are always triggered by Thanksgiving) o_O

It was now a two week old half doobie.

First hit smooth - wasn't sure it was lit. Second hit - the roof of my mouth goes numb. Third hit - lips go numb where they touch the doob. Two more hits and it goes out on its own - after two weeks it is still too gooey to stay lit!

Results:

Got very chatty and had a great time watching DaVinci Code. Had trouble falling asleep - very speedy but in the mind not in the heart. Definitely a morning medicine for use when you need to get things done.

Rollability - Grinds easily and has a nice waxy consistency that does not clump and it is not dry or crumbly.
Taste - No taste - almost undetectable. Numbs mouth.
Expansion - Big hits do not cause any coughing.
Head - High and euphoric. Not trippy at this dose (most I have tried so far).

Mo

From Nov 26, 2012:

Hi All,
Just ran my first real batch of trim through the HVY 5 gallon 8 bag set of Ice Water Extract bags. Wow! After I microplaned the frozen chunk of 73 micron I could not believe the size of the pile on the plate!

Grades from each bag on first gentle mixing run:

73 Micron collection in the bag:

Microplaned and jarred:

Smells like the buds but stronger and cleaner!!!!!

From Dec 2, 2012

Today is either 12 weeks or 17 weeks. Not sure when flowering started because they are outside.

Here are some pics of the flowers that are still going:

I still have a few flowers on the trees to see how long I can get these girls to go. The problem is that the rain and cold are causing the flowers to start rotting :(

Some have a few spots, some are perfect, and some are completely trashed!
