Man, I'm trying to figure out why my plants were all damaged beyond recovery by that frost we had mid september, and everybody else's look just fine. I went out expecting to harvest some serious weight and I come to find a bunch of shriveled brown fan leaves all hanging limp around colas that looked the same as they did 2 weeks prior... All 8 plants went to hash. Duluth area.
Because it got down to 28 degrees in Duluth. Didn't get that cold in other parts of MN.

Well, been super busy. Someone very close to me passed away recently and I have been handling things. Still pretty messed up and not really enjoying harvest right now though. Haven't really had alot of time to photograph and I harvested many plants in the wee hours of the morning today. I had been gone for six days and I know that it had rained heavily on finished buds. Not wanting to risk mold so I pulled most of the plants and will harvest the others very soon.

It's a great feeling to have plants so heavy that sometimes you can only carry one or two full plants at a time. And then make that trip many times. Harvest has been great this year. Little animal or weather damage, great female to male ratio on unsexed seed plants, lots of sun and enough rain, large plants with lots of bud. I cannot complain about anything grow wise. My coffers will be full. More pictures should be on the way soon.

Here are some closeups of various Krakatoa buds pre-harvest. I was able to get some of this smoke to pops before he passed away from cancer. Dying sick and in pain because this is a non-medical state. Thanks alot Pawlenty, you piece of trash.

Earlier in this thread I promised a funny story or two at the end of this grow !

So I had to keep this years grow secret from my lady and everyone else for that matter, here's some funny stories from this years grow for your amusement.

1) The first one is an after trimming cleanup mishap

So I'm in the bedroom and my girlfriend was in the garage doing something or another. She comes in and says, " _ _ _ _ (my name), is this marijuana ? " As my stomach dropped. I was around the corner and hadn't seen exactly what she had in her hand, whether it be a branch of a plant I somehow missed, a bud, or what. Turns out she had a completely perfectly formed pot leaf in her hand that I had missed in trimming cleanup. I grabbed it and looked at it. Quick as can be, I laughed a little bit and said, " it almost looks like one, but not quite, crazy." As I crumpled it up and threw it in the trash. Hahahaha.

This one was a little more serious and dangerous

So I won't go into specific details of why there was a law enforcement type of person in my home, but I had to sign some papers. So I had to let this guy in, no choice whatsoever, trust me. So he brings the papers over to the stove to write on (flat glass stovetop) and we squared away this paperwork quickly.
Well, prior to this, I had a flat full of plants and maybe 10 six inch plants in cups under some lighting for a short period of time in my home before I planted them outside. I seen the LEO car pullup to my residence and I snatched the plants quickly before he got to the glass door and seen me hiding stuff. I hid them into the nearest place I thought of seconds before he got to the door........ the oven ! There he sat inches away without the slightest clue. Too close for comfort !

Much love everyone, hope you got some enjoyment out of this years grow and some laughs out of these stories !

Wonderful thread! I am new here, but definitely want to follow along next year. What are some of the seeds that you have acquired so far for next year?

My buddy has the Mau fresas and KG x AWW and I have a bunch of Danish Gear from Esben. Thinking about finding a few places.

Happy Growing
