mn growers i like this haha. But im doing another outdoor grow this year and was wondering the best places to grow in you live in the heart of the twin cities, i want to do like 20 plants or more in different areas.Should i make a greenhouse? plus how do move a plant that is vegged for 3 plus months its got to be like 4-5 feet tall if im not mistaken.
shit if u got the space u should totally build a greenhouse....just dont show people wats in it......how far do u gotta move the plant, like does it need to go in a vehicle? if so then ur gonna need to rent a uhaul overnight to do it, unless u wanna start training it now to start growing more sideways.....

my first crops were in the Minnesconsin area and i'm glad to be where the weather is a bit more weed friendly. Just a note about 5 month veg: while it's GREAT to see a weed tree, it's also much easier to be seen by LEOs. unless you are on some land protected from prying eyes 2-3 months veg should still give you a healthy plant with some reserves to fight off nature's challenges.

Good Luck Snow People!

I can already see the headlines in the Star Trib. Please don't attempt to do a greenhouse grow in the heart of the Twin Cities unless you enjoy the Hennepin County Jail my friend. Just nothing good from that situation unless you're like 65 years old and an old grandma who is known to grow orchids and nobody bothers you, lol. Otherwise it's just asking for trouble. As far as moving a plant that has been vegged for three months, if a refridgerator can fit in a box, so can your plants. However, it will be much easier to veg the plant for maybe 4-6 weeks and transplant it outdoors. All that's really necessary if you're growing a halfway decent strain and not some mexican brickweed, lol. Anyways, consider taking a drive twenty minutes in any direction and you can find a decent spot anywhere in MN. I once grew plants in a park in Downtown Rochester and harvested just fine !

i agree with overgrow....no big greenhouse grows unless u can really keep it off limits and away from prying eyes......so i mean if ur out of town past chanhassan albertville whitebear lake or burnsville etc.., then u may be ok but not if u live in downtown minneapolis or st. paul

anything indica or indica dominant should treat you well in MN, or an autoflower strain. look for strains with a short flowering time. Im growing AK48, ata tundra, and short ryder this year. they are all pure indica or indica dominant with short-medium flowering times.

yea u definitely want indica or ruderalis-based strains...im stickin with an indica for this year for the most part with a few sativas and other crosses ill throw in...i got a large large area to take advantage of many different spots so im gonna spread it out around here n figure out what grows good where...but depending on where ur at u want shorter growing plants and shorter flowering time plants...im testing my main strain now to figure out how long it takes to finish. happy growing

Ok Ok, this year for me. We're rolling with the Feminized Bubblelicious from Nirvana, maybe not the best strain for OD in MN. But then again, Overgrow has a greenhouse to start things off right ! We're gonna try Frisian Dew from DP and Purple Pineberry from Secret Valley Seeds. White Widow clones as well. I'll likely toss out some various other mystery seeds I have laying around.

It looks like Purple Pineberry will be a killer strain for outdoors in MN, I urge ppl to take a gander at it.
