Sorry, that post was in reply to an older post where one was planning to divide their space and lease to other LP's. My bad.

I do want my stuff as far from other operations as possible though.

You can see the potential for one MJ growing business to abuse its competition...or at least their direct competition...
with things like...scale model drones...to carry a payload of pestilence, like mites,or pollen, or worse...
being Isolated for security reasons can also have its draw backs....
there is a ton more to think about...with this business than some would let on...
And as a forced potential end user of the MMJ product,in this system ...this kind of stuff seems to be one of the real problems....for the end user....

for all Q.A you will need a full time on site legal certified phd, QA qualified, or a masters in science.
the gov will not allow anyone without serious university in the set fields. the gov is denying everyone that's not close to required even though they don't ask for this. goodluck

the gov is pissed off and making all small lp jump 100000 hoops before allowed to have a lic.
this is the requirments as of now.
the bachelor of science should be a masters, from what they have said.

Hi Everyone, It has been very interesting reading all of your posts. I am interested in connecting with anyone who has applied for their producer license with Health Canada or who is ready to apply, and who is looking for investment.

As many of you have noted, Health Canada's rules on security, building ventilation, etc are costly and from those I've spoken to who have received their license already, there are many months and hoops to get through from the point of submitting your application to finally getting it. We are interested in helping someone with passion and know-how.

My business partner and I. We are entrepreneurial-minded private investors with business and start up experience. We don't have a history in this particular industry, but have a lot of business background and would be interested in joining forces with someone who does have experience with medical marijuana but requires financing to realize their vision.

Hey,

Posting today to share a few updates on the status of our app.

We first submitted our app.
early febuary. Since then we've gone back and forth with HC trying to satisfy them. (mostly due to section 10)
We have now hired a full-time quality assurance person on a consultant basis until we commence full business operations upon approval of our pre licensing inspection. At which time, he will be working full-time (40 Hrs/ week) on site as our in house quality assurance person.

HC has now sent us a pretty vague email saying that its "done, printed and filed" with our case number. After sending them a reply asking to clarify if this means we've cleared the first phase, they replied ;

"If you are requesting an update on the status of your application to become a Licensed Producer, please note that you will receive a letter from Health Canada if and when any additional information is required to continue processing your application. Thank you for your cooperation. "

Has anyone else received this "done, printed and
filed" email ? If so does it in fact mean we've cleared the first phase? If so how long have you guys been waiting to get passed phase 2 ?(2. Reviewing: the application will be reviewed to validate the information and documents provided. Security clearance forms will be sent for processing. Physical security plans will be reviewed and assessed.)

Don't be greedy with your info. We like to share!!!!!!!

Hi all, first time posting for me here. I've followed along with the discussion for a long time now and appreciate everyone's input. We are # 46 on the list and still battling for a successful conclusion to this infuriating process. We just got word this morning that our application has cleared the review stage and is moving onto the security clearance stage. Included in the email it states that it could take "a few months" for this to be completed. I'm not sure how it could possibly take 5 months to do a record and background check but given how this whole process has gone I shouldn't be surprised. We also received notice that personal security checks were being preformed in two earlier emails from healthCanada, one in December and one back in October. I will keep you all posted on any future developments as they arise. Good luck to us all

Hey just wanna start by saying thanks for sharing the info.

When you say that you are #56 on the list do you mean that you are the 56th app. to have been submitted? You also mentioned that personal security checks had been performed as far back as October, when did you first submit ? And had you done your prints and cpic before submitting?

We first sent ours in end of jan or early feb and the only thing we ever heard about security clearances was that some info was incomplete such as spouse 's employment history but was never informed about them being sent out for processing.

What about this " done, printed and filed " email did u get that or anything similar?

Would really like to chat further!

We contact health canada ever two weeks for sure. We also hired a lobiest in Ottawa that shakes things up for us whenever they go quiet. In addition to the lobiest we hired a consultant to help with our application. We felt the need to take these additional steps because we kept slipping between the cracks and there was no accountability. Also we didn't speak health Canadian at the start of all this. I honestly feel if we had these professionals on our side from the beginning we would have had our license months ago.

We submitted in July of 2012 and had conformation from health Canada that they had received our package about 8 days later. We were eventually designated a file # 10-MM0046 apparently the "46"is the number in order of applications received. Part of the application was fingerprints and the permission waiver to allow them to have the RCMP look into our records. Health Canada informed us in October that the screening process was complete and the review stage had begun. They also said the security check was commencing. We received an email in December saying the security screening was ongoing. Finally today they said they are now starting the security screening. We have sent an email back and kicked started the lobbyist to find out what exactly is going on and whether our security check has already been completed or if someone just forgot to hand it in. Since we received word from them that they would be starting the security clearance check it's been five and a half months to date.

They begin processing in order of first in first served but jump around depending on the readiness of the applicant. My advise for everyone is respond as quickly as possible then follow up 1 week later. As for ltd companies being denied I'm not sure. I do know that the second application health Canada received is still awaiting security clearance.
