MIXING YOUR NUTRIENTS - TIPS AND TRICKS from DELTA9LABS

Today we at Delta9Labs (not the seed co.) received yet another question from a fellow grower asking about tips and tricks on mixing his nutrient solution. I though that we would post our question today for anyone else looking for the same answers. Hope we could help! (this will be base on advanced nutrients but the tips and tricks have nothing to do with the nutrient co. and you can use these in your grow room to have lab grade results

I also have the hobbyist level line up. Can you please explain any mixing or application advice you have for me. Im new and need advice badly.

Thanks

I can try.
Since I don't really understand what your main issue is or if your just looking for tips and tricks, so what I can do is try an help you with a little tutorial of mixing.

Hoping you have a PH and PPM reader lets start with you base nutrients. start with equal parts of sensi a then b. TIP: make sure you stir you reservoir fully before you add the part "B"
so an example would be: I have a 500 gallon res of "pure" water, I then measure 1000ml of Sensi part "A", then pour it in. I now mix and stir the part "A" in so it is all mixed with the water before I add my part "B" and do the same. (reason why you want to make sure everything is stirred in there is because usually the part "A's" will contain the stronger compounds, that when in concentrated form, don't mix well with other compound nutrients in the same "bottle" example: calcium does not mix well with phosphates in it's concentrated form so they bottle them separately so there isn't any lockouts of the components.):???:

Lets move on a bit here: I will start with a small TIP: since your question involved mixing an application I thought I would mention that you should always start with half of the recommended dosage, especially when your using premium quality nutrients you don't wan't to start out to strong. always follow your PPM reader and increase about 50ppm every time you want to feed with nutrients.

You say you are using the hobbyist level. OK so I believe those Advanced Nutrients box's come with a little chart. FOLLOW THE CHART. If i remember correctly its voodoo juice then big bud and then b-52 and finished with overdrive. follow the feedings at HALF and slowly increase when you feel its right.

TIP: always remember that under-feeding is better then over-feeding. last thing you want is to burn those ladies and never have them grow the same way again.

Another TIP: A good idea to start with a res temp of 65-68F

Yet another TIP: When jumping into flowering try and start your ppm around 400-600. (that being said, you should have had previous applications of "Veg" nutrients before jumping to 400-600ppm of bloom feed

TIP: Obviously you want to make sure that your PH is always balanced so you don't lock any nutrients out.
TIP: never apply BASE nutrients as a foliage spray, stick with micro and macro nutrients if you must.

so remember, base first then follow the advanced nutrients feed chart regiment as directed. and also remember what I said about premium nutrients being strong, so less is more.

I'm hoping that it wasn't so much of a blabber but more of an informative reply to your question, if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to message me
